Definitely not what they used to be I think, but maybe the Suck Fairy has got to them. I'd snap up a dark choccy variant if that existed, though, but I suppose it wouldn't be right, would violate some principle of Anglican Easter liturgy or something...

Anyway, just for Mirocu, I've now decided to make some up for my seasonal produce mod (which only has fruits right now, badly needs more). Available from all reputable vendors in Cyrodiil from New Year till the equinox. (There must be a Cyrodiilic festival that fits, off to UESP to check...)

[EDIT: Oh, dear heavens, I just read that Guardian piece. Is nothing sacred? Sounds as ghastly as a Hershey Bar (someone tried to market those, and other US 'confectionery', here on the high street recently. Went out of business in 3 months. I can see that soon it's going to have to be Belgian/Swiss chocs, or nothing.]

Oh my goodness that looks nice. I'd need a fair amount of tea to accompany it though.

Milk for me with it. (Yes, I'm a milk drinker, laugh.gif )

Of course in Tennessee 'milk' means this

Now that's a rather fine USan product. Perhaps we should all concentrate on what we're good at. (And, admittedly, the UK is traditionally kind of middle-ranking on confectionery, I think. But at least we're not bottom of the list, just heading there it seems...)

Maybe not the best at sweet making; but the UK churns out the most Awesome actors and has always been in the forefront of the music industry/trends with the exception of blues.

(Not to even mention the RAF and Navy is the greatest and most famous in the world or how tremendously brave and downright fearless UK troops were in Iraq). I was completely floored by how they went door to door and crashed through places on foot as if they were tanks. It was absolutely thrilling to watch them going through the most dangerous areas and just taking charge. I can imagine it must be tremendously comforting as a citizen to know that powerful defense protects your country. They command respect wherever they go.

Cheers for that bit. Reasons To Be Cheerful, eh? (Except that we just lost Bowie and Rickman. The Great Old Ones are leaving us, it seems...)

Agreed. And on the other - shouldn't let the politics behind why they were there effect your pride in the troops themselves. They just went where they were sent; they may not have even wanted to be there; but they went and kicked butt with unbelievable class and style. I was praising the troops, not the conflict or politics that put them there. They earned the praise and deserve it.

Oops. You posted before I thought again and edited the political bit out. Of course I'm not blaming the services themselves, it's a tough old job and they have to do a lot with rather scarce resources, frankly. As you say, kudos to them...

Yes, I agree 100%; and you are right about the scarce resources too. I really wish our armies were never used for anything but homeland security, really don't like the idea of any war. But if one happens - nice to know your own army can throw down like no other.

But that's perfect! Just a brief pretty 'picture' to look at then disappearing before causing much problem. tongue.gif That reminds me that a few weeks ago, I woke up to a white Christmas with a solid quarter inch (that's about half a centimeter, mirocu) on the ground. But it did cover the ground and stuck around until mid morning. biggrin.gif

You´re wrong, Acadian. Snow coming and going like that is not perfect, it´s actually what causes problems (rapid changes). If it sticks around week after week then everything´s just fine wink.gif

And yes, I AM HOME NOW! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

(thanks for the translation btw tongue.gif )

I prefer walking on snow to simply looking at it. I love the way fresh snow crunches underfoot, so it sucks it wasn't around for long enough.

I've seen six snowflakes so far this year, none last year. Yes, I've taken to counting them individually. I really wouldn't mind some full-on snow, I like what it does to the light. Down here in the middle of SE England, we've had abnormally grey skies for months, far fewer sunny intervals than usual.

Might be lucky, up to London next weekend, they've got a bit right now, maybe it'll last. Lots of snow in Britain right now, just not down here in Hampshire, just boring drizzly southeasterly winds. Up to 4cm fall (which isn't going to impress any Canadians or Scandinavians here, I know) in the Midlands, so at least I know where to go to find it...

Got a little bit of snow here. Roads are all clear but the fields are all white, just how everyone likes it.

Well, I didn't envy you northerners over that recent flooding, my sympathies - we barely got sideswiped - so maybe it's fair compensation. (Well, you've done your bit, probably Somerset's turn to get inundated again next time around...)
