I don´t mind at all, tegeus smile.gif Besides, it´s not my thread anyway.

I misinterpreted, thought we were sending you to sleep. I hate to bore people, though I manage to do it anyway.

Yeah, the recommendations thing on Nexus does mean that many fine older mods go unnoticed, because the default filter on the mod sort is by Most Recommended. I tend to browse by Most Downloaded these days, but even that's not reliable, it's circular, because more people will download it if it has more recommendations, of course.

The other drawback to Most Downloaded is that it favours mods that get millions of updates because they're buggy. People will download a new file to get a bug fixed. I'm also unsure if the mods with large numbers of optional files get each component counted.

BAIN lets you put all the options in one archive and select options when you install. It would be a pity if the "ratings" penalise that.

I think they do; example: Vilja has a whole page of downloads; and you need about 8 of them at least per time you download one of her versions. I most def think Emma gets that 8 count in her download count rather than just the (1) main file count.

Well, that never occurred to me. And I've got an OBSE mod-detect script on my unpublished inn that looks out for COBL and suchlike, avoids optional plugins that clog up espspace. But if I wanted to be a bit tarty, I should spam them all off as separate plug-ins then. Not that I would wink.gif

BTW, I'm not implying that Emma has done anything of the sort. For one thing, mod detect is relatively recent for OBSE (V21+?), so likely wasn't even available. Second, some users run screaming from the idea of installing OBSE (can't figure that out really), and some will be running out-of-date versions. Ah, have cake and eat it - add an OBSE-free version - with optional plugins, of course. Now how can that be anything other than virtuous? wink.gif

I think there's a little joke in there. It seems the circumflex accent is rarely used with a u in any real world language, Turkish mostly (and it can mean a number of different things whereever used).

But, from the above link:

QUOTE
In Adûnaic, the Black Speech, and Khuzdul, constructed languages of J. R. R. Tolkien, all long vowels are transcribed with the circumflex. In Sindarin long vowels in monosyllabic words take the circumflex and long vowels in longer words take the acute.

Adûnaic - so, basically, Sith is the language of Mordor. ('One does not simply talk into Mordor' smile.gif)

I wonder what would happen if you put it into one of those Google "translate into speech" software programs? Mine doesn't respond.

I know what it means, Uleni quoted it in that quotes thread. Just - would have liked to hear it, lol.

Think you'd likely need one of those more sophisticated text readers for blind/partially sighted people. (Quite expensive software, usually.) But it would probably still stumble at û. You never know though, some geek might have taught it Adûnaic. Sheldon would (and he'd add Klingon to boot).

I love it when they start speaking Klingon on that show, lol.

Okay, Google put it into sound, but in a girl's voice. It would have sounded better in some distorted male voice, lol.

As it turns out, I didn´t dream of a better tomorrow. All I dreamt about was being chased and hiding in abandoned houses.

Yeah. Thank you, brain dry.gif
