Acadian: Hecate shoots them whether they are standing, sitting, or laying down!

I bet you see much better desert sunsets and sunrises!

I visited some with Loviatar today

Vault Secure

Loviatar is feeling hungry for corruption

A little tenderizing

Then a quick snack

Loviatar is lining up her next meal

Mmmm... barbecue

Loviatar is stylin' in her new pimp hat

Saying hello to the wildlife

Relaxing at the swimmin' hole

Guess who Loviatar ran into outside of Megaton?

Flyiiinnn' Sooo Hiiiiigh

Loviatar thinks that a Hobo may have been here...

No one wants to play with Loviatar...

I’m still really liking Loviatar’s ‘Borgesque’ look. Her eating habits mebbe not so much. laugh.gif

Nice to see her relaxing at the swimming hole. smile.gif

Woot - the Antagonizer! I confess a degree of non-FO player confusion here. I think of Antagonizer as one of your characters. Is there also an NPC of the same handle in the game?

Great silhouette of our maneater in Flyin so High! happy.gif

Love the nod to the Hobo. goodjob.gif

Well, if she didn’t eat her opponents, maybe more of them would play with her? wink.gif

Acadian: Everyone's gotta eat! But Loviatar does resemble that remark about eating her opponents... *burp* wink.gif

Out west in New Vegas, Hecate found a horrific scene in Nipton

Caesar's Legion had slaughtered the town

Hecate prepares a wasteland welcome for them

A note to Caesar: See California And Die

Hecate found these Raiders in a compromising position

Hecate has an early morning wakeup for the Legion

Surprise!

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jan 14 2016, 02:36 PM) *

Acadian: That first pic has gone into my regular desktop rotation.

I kept thinking about Hobo as Loviatar was going through that part of the map.

mALX: That was the first time one of my characters ever fixed the robots for Big Town. One of them turned up on the road outside of town! I guess that shows that it thought about Big Town! laugh.gif

The Big Towners treated Loviatar the same as normal. But Loviatar took the 'good' path there. One thing that is really weird about playing an evil character is listening to Three Dog after you take the good path in quests. He starts out calling you a pirate, thief, murderer, and scum of humanity, then congratulates you on a job well done! laugh.gif

That big explosion was just the car behind the Talon Merc, not a Fat Man.

Loviatar shouldn't have eaten Somah, since she can repair your stuff. But those aliens really got her dander up, and killin' had to ensue...

I got to the garbage chute off of the Waste Disposal level, which is itself off of the Engineering Core section. Here is a map of Mothership Zeta that shows how all the levels connect. A lot of them are optional, especially off the Engineering Core.

You can get a lot of drones in Zeta. They are in pods on the walls. All you have to do is walk up and activate them.

I think the Buttercup horse was in the Storage Area, or maybe the Reseach Level. The aliens had a ton of them in there!

Loviatar did eat an Outcast patrol before suiting up in that armor! laugh.gif Though she had already saved a suit of powered armor from her trip through Fort Independence earlier. That's what happens when Mirocu is not around to protect them!

Loviatar didn't have good karma. It just said she was a holier than thou white knight on the bounty out for her. I checked her karma afterward it showed her as Very Evil! You really don't take much of a hit for eating people though. I think it is only -1 karma per body you cannibalize.

I spent some time in Skyland with Persephone and Darryl

What's for dinner?

The Pale Lady vs. The Paler Lady

Old Blue Eyes is back

I also rolled Hecate for Fallout New Vegas

Settin' for a spell

Fixing Trudy's radio

Relaxing with Sunny

Joe Cobb is a bad dead man

That is so funny about 3 Dog - can't keep his opinion of the Player straight, laugh.gif

Agree on Somah, I like her once you get out of her scripted part of the quest. I accidentally hit her too hard and killed her once - forgot I had Fisto on. Had to reload the last save, go through that whole long drawn out beginning sequence again and start over - almost didn't, just to keep from going through all that probe scene again, but later on was glad to have her for repairs and to help in the final battle.

I can't get over you beating that final battle without her help! Holy Cow! It took me forever to beat it even with everyone there I kept getting killed! And the first time I played it (on the 360) I had killed the Samurai for his armor - never was able to beat it without his help.

I've been missing that waste disposal level every time I've played it; the only time I've ever found it was the first time I played through MZ on the 360. Have not been able to find it since.

I'm going to draw that little map out and replay MZ, see if I can find it. I was actually thinking of toggling clipping and floating down the levels of that tube area of the Engine Core to see if I was missing it down there somehow.

I've always killed those drones in the pods for their parts, are you saying they will work on your side if you activate them - not attack you? That is Awesome, I never knew that !!!!!!!! Have to go try this out now! Oh, I am so glad you told me this, I just looked it up to find out how it works - this will change how I play the robot assembly area completely! Thank you!

I loved the Buttercups, really wanted to bring one home and put it on my bookshelf in Megaton, lol. I don't remember ever seeing a giant Buttercup though, only the small ones. That is Awesome, I want to find it now, lol. You've got me pumped up to play MZ again, lol.

OMG, did she eat the one that says Rad-X "roars through him like a raging Brahman" I'd like to see that, laugh.gif

That "Holier than thou" is supposed to come when the Player has extra good karma, that is what caught my attention. That is kind of funny that she would have that "stigma" given her status was "very evil," lol. Something might be glitching there; but it is really funny, laugh.gif

I really have to try really playing an evil character just to experience it. I went for my "Bad Karma Achievements" by playing a neutral character, and every time I got the neutral achievement I saved, loaded a previous save, then went and stole some owned stuff and whatever I did to level up before. Picked up the "Evil Karma Achievement," then reloaded the save on the neutral. Kind of a cheating way to get the achievements without having to play an evil character - but I cheated myself out of the experience; and hearing just the 3 Dog dialogue would most def be worth at least one play through, lol.

Persephone!

Ha! She is distracted by food in the middle of a dangerous draugr crawl, lol.

I really loved the Pale Lady dungeon; what a great shot this is of the combat!

Looks like Darryl rode the tree down, lol.

Oh! Hecate looks stunning! What are those red things? I so need some advice on modding NV; I put in a few beauty mods and they crashed the game. When I removed them it played just fine, but my character was hideous. I didn't have the heart to keep playing her, so went back to FO3.

I don't recognize where Hecate is sitting in that shot; at first I thought it was the entrance to Vault 101; laugh.gif

Aw, I really like Old Easy Pete!

The only good Joe Cobb is a dead Joe Cobb, laugh.gif

Great Shots!!! I'm so sorry it has taken so long to get here!

mALX: You killed Somah with Fisto! For some reason that is hilarious! Oops! laugh.gif

I never really had that much trouble with the ship to ship battle. You can direct all of your energy into your shields, or all of it into your gun, or split it. What I do is put it all in the shield and wait for the alien to fire. Afterward it takes time for the alien to charge up its gun for another shot. So then I dump all the power from the shields into my gun and fire. Then I transfer it back to shields and wait for the next shot from the aliens. Just keep doing that over and over until you destroy the other ship.

There are the aliens that board you during the battle. But you should have a gatling laser, missile launcher, and other goodies by then. Not to mention your own crew. I never had much difficulty with the boarders.

It was a lot more fun playing an evil character than I expected. I was expecting to feel bad about Three Dog calling me out on the radio. But I thought it was hilarious how he described Loviatar as the Boogeyman, a marauder, land-pirate, and all sorts of things.

I have always used Mikoto Beauty Pack for New Vegas. It adds a ton of hairs. Last week I started using Mojave Delight (not safe for work!)- a face texture mod. Rather than replacing the vanilla textures, it creates a bunch of new races with its modded textures. Each race has a differing level of makeup, from Girl Next Door who has none, Posh Princess - who has some, Bombshell - with heavy makeup, and Goth - which is self-explanatory.

It is supposed to be for the Type 3 Body mod. But I don't like how that looks. But Mojave Delight works just fine without it, with the added bonus of it not being a nude mod that way. It also has a patch to enable the hairs from Mikoto Beauty Pack on the Mojave Delighted page. Delighted is an addon for Mojave Delight. I tried it, and was not impressed, so deleted it. But if you look down in the Old Files section at the bottom, you will find the Mojave Delight Patch-MikotoBP file. If you have the Mikoto Beauty Pack (and you should!) download it and replace the original MojaveDelight.esp with the one from the patch. That will add all the hairs from Mikoto to the Mojave Delight races.

That is all I use for New Vegas - Mikoto Beauty, Mojave Delight, and the Mojave Delight patch for Mikoto.

Acadian: Your first meeting with The Legion in New Vegas is not a flattering one. I have never played a character that could do anything but shoot them on sight.

I have had an idea brewing for a while that came together today when I was able to mod a set of armor into the game.

Mothership Zeta has captured another victim

But she fights back!

Laying the smackdown

Meet Warrant Officer Holland Smith, Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare, United States Marine Corps

The only good alien...

Holland has a signal for the aliens

Oorah!

Welcome to Holly Leatherneck! Nice to see the Order of the Eagle Globe and Anchor ably represented. Of course she fights back and, of course, she kicks some butt. Doubtless, those aliens do not yet fully realize the can of whoopass that they have mistakenly abducted. Oorah indeed. salute.gif

Acadian: I thought you would appreciate my Leatherneck. smile.gif I went though several name ideas: Jane Basilone, Gregoria Boyington, or Chesty Puller. But in the end Howlin' Mad sounded best.

Holland is thinking of creating a cavalry division

At the controls

Not even the Black Sheep could have done much with this

Waking up some other Anchorage veterans

There is only one direction a Marine knows to go, forward

These commies are big, but they burn like the rest of them

Now, what to do with this?

The face of the enemy

Taking the Death Ray

Uh oh, here comes another alien ship

Holland fights them ship to ship, just like the very first Leathernecks

The aliens meet the same fate as the Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, and Hiryu

Of Course! Captain Cosmos was Navy after all... wink.gif

Warrant Officer Smith returns to a very different Earth

It's a dog eat dog world

One thing is clear: war, war never changes...

This appears to be a reconnaissance drone, but for whom?

Holland seems to have found what passes for civilization

Lopov: The Hobo must have gotten an eyeful of Holland's globe and anchor! laugh.gif

Acadian: I actually decided to create a Commie Killer perk for Holland to take. I just have to test it out to see if it works or not (it will do extra damage against all Asian characters).

Warrant Officer Smith was using a Stealth Boy in that sneaky pic. She doesn't have a Stealth Suit. That's Chinese! nono.gif

Renee: I never intended it, but I have always thought Hecate looks similar to Megan Fox.

Getting ahead in the world

Every Marine is a rifleman

Walking the DC streets

Holland teamed up with an Army remnant.

Well, I’ve learned what ‘disarming’ means in Persephone speak. . . now we know what it means when Holland gets ‘ahead’. ohmy.gif

Yup, a Marine and her rifle!

Walking the DC streets, doubtless looking for 8th & I (Marine Barracks and home of the Marine Corps Commandant).

Showing those Army soldiers the right way to do things no doubt.

Acadian: I had forgotten about the Marine Barracks in DC. Holland was probably there at least once in her time. I looked it up on Google Maps, and near as I can tell, it is in an area that is inaccessible in the game. sad.gif

She was definitely showing the Army how to do things right!

Now that I have played her a bit, I have done some conjugating on Holland's background. She was born in 2050 in Denver, Colorado. When she was two years old the New Plague/Blue Flu occurred and killed her parents. She was sent to an orphanage, and grew up bad. When she was a teen she was committing cyber-crimes and blackmail. Finally she was arrested by the FBI when she was 21 (in 2071) and given the choice of prison or the military. China had invaded Alaska when she was 16 (in 2066), so they needed every one they could get.

It was an easy decision for Holland - steel bars or shooting people. Since they gave her a choice, she went into the Marine Corps, because she wanted to be the best. She soon learned that prison would have been a lot easier. But hard as the Corps was, it gave her a sense of purpose and belonging that she had never felt before. Given her skill with computers, she was put into Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare.

Her first deployment was just a year later, in 2072. She was sent to annex Canada. In 2074 Holland and the Corps hit the beaches of the Yangtze River and took Shanghai. A year later her first term of enlistment was up. She could not imagine going back to life as a civilian, so she reenlisted for another six years, and was promoted to Warrant Officer. It was during a major Chinese counterattack on the Marine positions in the winter of 2076/77 that she was taken by the aliens. One moment she was in her battalion HQ working on cracking Chinese encrypted communications, then the next the room turned bright white. She woke up in Mothership Zeta.

Holland is ahead of the muties

Monumental firefight

Time to put that signals and electronic warfare training to use

Been there, done that

Holland picked up a classic Model 1911 Colt

She uses it for the smaller critters

Its good for getting ahead of raiders as well

More Raider and Mutie huntin'!

Love the 'Enlist' sign and Holland's pose near it. tongue.gif

Yes, that old .45 had wonderful physical 'stopping power' that the current military 9mm pistol lacks. Most of us were not at all happy with the change.

haute ecole rider: One of these days I have been planning to play a pistoleero character, and I have been saving the Colt .45 for that. Maybe Thomasina Magnum, PI. wink.gif

Acadian: It often takes a little while for a character's background and attitudes to come together for me. Holland's are finally starting to really gel.

I hear they are going to be getting rid of that 9mm and going to a new handgun. Hopefully back to a .45.
