QUOTE(mirocu @ Feb 15 2016, 04:08 PM) Fantasy I like much better. I think I donīt like sci-fi anymore because I may have been damaged by all the friggin techno-babble When I think of Sci-Fi fantasy writing, all I can think of is that stupid story of "Rom" the vacuum cleaner that fell in love with a housewife and sent himself to her; then proceeded to attempt to seduce her; until she realized what he was up to and pulled its plug from the outlet ... or some such thing, lol. And yes, techno babble galore. I can't remember what they called his extending tentacles/attachments, urk. Anyway, it "turned me off" Sci-Fi for a long time, lol. (pun intended).

QUOTE(mirocu @ Feb 15 2016, 04:22 PM) Which is why I will never have any kind of sentient robot in my home. Donīt want it to come after me And why I make my husband do all the vacuuming. QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Feb 15 2016, 04:25 PM) I'd have no problems with a robot in the house. Just so long as it's programmed with the Three Laws of Robotics 1. A robot must never harm a human 2. A robot must never harm a human 3. A robot must never use its knowledge of human anatomy to seduce a human... This post has been edited by mALX: Feb 15 2016, 10:39 PM

That's a... erm... very specific ruleset you have there But that third law is hard to argue with

Too bad a new costs almost half of what I paid for the gun Can't you just make a copy of the spare? Key copies are like one dollar here.

You can copy a regular key here, but not car keys. Thatīs a whole other level of security and cost. Besides, I also need the transponder and you canīt copy that in 2 minutes Actually I need neither a new key nor transponder, they both still work fine. What I do need however is the latch which connects the key to the transponder. Thatīs the thing that broke off due to frozen lock and not to mention, pathetically weak design Oh, well the car dealer of that make of car should be able to replace it for not too much. Mine had a computer chip in it and it didn't cost too much (I think around 25.00 US dollars). Plus they sold me a nice jacket with their racing logo on it (the late Dale Earnhardt #3's jacket) for around half what it would be in a store or at the track,

QUOTE(mirocu @ Feb 16 2016, 10:36 AM) I have to pay around 230 dollars. Well, not really. I pay in my countryīs currency... Wow, the exchange rate must be way low compared to the dollar! Like the Peso or something? The lowest exchange I ever actually dealt with was the Belgium Franc (which became obsolete @ 2002) which was about 36 Francs to every one US Dollar - actually, I think your exchange rate is better than that. Do you use Euro or not? This post has been edited by mALX: Feb 16 2016, 05:07 PM
