QUOTE(mirocu @ Mar 2 2016, 02:05 AM) Really nice place New car key works fine and I might celebrate that by washing my car today. Has been a few months now.. Glad that key issues is done and over with! Now don't get water into the keyhole washing it, have it freeze up again, lol. (And if it does, for the gods sake: don't keep turning that key if it sticks; use a hair dryer or breathe into the lock; drop graphite or WD-40 into the lock; etc. QUOTE(Decrepit @ Mar 1 2016, 05:30 AM) Okay, this promises to be a weird day. Firing up the computer this morning I was greeted to, amongst other things, an email from Amazon.com informing me that I order containing the book Fire in the Steppe shipped yesterday 29 Feb. That's all well and good, except that, as returned in another thread, that order arrived 12/13 Feb. The books has been read. I've moved on to other things.
To further confuse the issue, the tracking number Amazon supplies with the new email, when pasted in to USPS shipment tracking, appears to be for a totally different order, one I received 23 Dec 2015!
The order itself is sold through Amazon rather than by Amazon. I just finished shooting off an email to the actual seller to see if that is any validity to it being shipped again. On the plus side, I've received no notice from Amazon of being billed in association with this supposed shipment.
Other than that, this is primary day in my state. Naturally, potentially severe storms are expected to move through my area during the timeframe in which I prefer to vote.
Decrepit, that sounds like one of those "Phishing" things, I'd be real careful responding to these, be careful what info if any you give them. Someone may have hacked into Amazon or that contributor's computer files and gotten just enough info to try and get you to give them info they could really use - bank info; SSN; address and phone number; etc. I hope when you called them back it was on your known number for them and not any number you garnered from those faulty emails.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Mar 1 2016, 08:17 PM) Why? For having a car key, a shotgun and a hunting knife? Well, yeah. Those keys can be lethal in the right hands
