QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 19 2016, 07:47 PM) mALX: You made me laugh at the thought of Veronica punching out a Deathclaw. Veronica Balboa! Those three old women in pink dresses are Maud's Muggers. They turned up way in the south west of Freeside, around a little robotics factory that I found for the first time this playthrough. The hooker's knife is sticking out of her stomach, on the right side of the pic (her left). The guards didn't go hostile after Hecate killed Benny. But she talked to his second in command Swank at the front door first, and won him over to her side. It takes a high speech, and a few quest items you pick up along the way following Benny. One was his lighter, which she got from the Khans he double-crossed in Boulder. If you talk them out of Boulder, they will give you the lighter and tell you about Benny. Acadian: That trucker mudflap girl is pure vanilla New Vegas. It's from Gommorah - the same casino with the holster billboard. The inside of The Tops is actually one of the best looking places in the Wasteland! Nuclear war didn't do much for property values... And that was one shot, one kill with Benny. Holland Smith would approve. As soon as Hecate left The Tops, one of Caesar's secret agents made her offer...Hecate's reply came in 7.62 millimetersTime to get luckyMr. House has lost his connection.Hecate has a house-warming present for him.The House went bustTime to settle up with CaesarVae Victus!Hail Caesar!Hecate surveys her new armyShe moved into a new padIt has a comfy bed Veronica punching out deathclaws - the first time I saw her do it I was torn between awe and hysterics! That is so funny about the knife clipping like that! Misa was able to sweet talk Swank only once, she had the "Black Widow" perk - boy did his dialogue get funny after that! (or maybe it was due to the perk). It was also how she got hilarious dialogue out of Mr. Burke in FO3, Oh, I always got Vulpes outside the Tops giving my character amnesty for their previous "crimes" against the Legion! Ew, she blew up Mr. House! Urk, lol. I always opened up his "pod" to let the germs get him, lol. A slower death, but most def a death. (and no hundred year old Mr. House all over her armor, ) Oh wait, "Her Army?" So ... she is going with the Yes Man? Holy Crap!!!! I thought she was NCR all the way!!!! OMG, I have never done this ending !!! Ooh, nice digs! I have never seen the suite, what do you have to do to get it?

QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 20 2016, 09:48 PM) Ooh, getting the plane already? Hecate has cut right through this game quickly! Ooh, a Boomer jacket! I have had one before, but I think I found it on dead Boomers doing an early side quest for them. Oh yeah, New Vegas is very entertaining outside on the strip, lol. Omg, how did she get Veronica to stay with her? She doesn't leave if you do the "Yes Man" ending? OOOOH !!! The bomber overhead !!! I have never gotten to see that in my game, it always fatally crashed before the big battle. Maybe now that I've got the PC version I'll finally get to play out the end of the game! OMG, they actually drop bombs! I've never seen that, does it shake the ground like the battle behind Liberty Prime? What the heck is Veronica hitting? Yes, she sure is impressive with her fists! Did you give her "Pushy?" Holy Crap, is that Legate Lanius's face or a mask? Oh, is that the guy in the golden mask that I haven't gotten to see yet because my game crashed before it ever reached that spot? Geez, I thought his mask looked like a golden sun or something! OOOOH !!! I can't wait to fight him! Was it a hard combat? Oh, since you normally play NCR here, how did it feel shocking General Oliver that way? Did she feel like a turnheel? But no matter how bad it might feel, and not sure if I would want to do it - I do get the biggest kick out of seeing Yes Man kick someone/anyone off the top of the Hoover Dam, QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 22 2016, 02:46 PM) Ooh, back in the DC Wasteland! I think I've only been able to save Tom and Mary once in all my playthroughs. What gun is that she has? It looks way too big to be the BB gun; and I think the Overseer's locker only had a pistol (and the guards only had batons)! Is that the BB gun? It looks huge on her! There is always kind of a sickening feeling when you hear that vault door close behind you permanently, like you are hoping you didn't just make a huge mistake (not like you had a choice) . Not sure if anyone else feels that or not, but I sure did. OMG, TREES !!! Looks like Harold has been busy! I think they may have overpopulated the trees (for a wasteland) possibly; but I like how natural the long grass looks around that Springvale sign! Oh boy, back in the Wasteland I love best, I love FO3! Awesome shots and updates! You must have been on some kind of a marathon playthrough here, Awesome shots, all of them!

Acadian: I gave her the hunting rifle to start with. I made a mod that adds all the base, entry-level weapons to the start of the tutorial area. I did the same with Oblivion. That way my characters can start off using the kind of weapon I intended for them, and I can practice with it and see if I really like it. I think the big red moon got blown up by the atom bombs! Lousy Commie Moon... mALX: The last few times I have played New Vegas I have held off on going to the Tops until late in the game. So my characters had a high speech by then. Plus picking up stuff along the way like Benny's lighter. Vuples usually never survives my character's first visit to Nipton! Loviatar is the only one who let him live. Hecate prefers the NCR to the Legion or House. They seem like the lesser of three evils. But once it came down to killing House, taking over for herself seemed better for the Mojave than leaving it to the NCR, who only really seem interested in the dam for its water and electricity. It would have been nice to create a new Mojave nation in the form of a cartel or republic, with equal participation in the new government from the local groups like The Kings, The Followers of the Apocalypse, Jacobstown, Novac, Goodsprings, the Boomers, the Brotherhood of Steel, and so on. But apparently Obsidian never thought of that. Getting that penthouse is like getting those teardrop tattoos in prison. You gotta kill a few people first... Seriously, you get the presidential suite in the Lucky 38 after you meet Mr. House, and either agree to work for him, or kill him and take his place as ruler of New Vegas (the Independent/Yes Man route) Lopov was surprised that I was able to keep a companion all the way through the end of the game. I did not do anything special. I recruited Veronica near the end of the game when I was courting the Brotherhood. She makes that a lot easier. I gave her Caesar's fist weapon. I had killed him earlier, and saved it since its unique. I think it's called the Displacer Glove. It looks pretty impressive! The bombing run didn't shake the ground. Not that I remember at least. Too bad, that would have been good! It is still pretty neat seeing the Boomers fly in and drop those bombs though. That is a mask Lanius is wearing. I don't think I have ever seen his actual face. You cannot pick his helmet or armor up after you kill him. Not that you could really do anything with them anyway, since the game ends a few minutes later. Hecate didn't want to kill any of the NCR after the battle, because she did like a lot of them as individuals. But General Oliver made it easy to give the order to throw him off the bridge after he started to insult Hecate. The way she saw it, he had it coming. Plus, it really was funny to watch Yes Man throw him off the dam! I gave the new East Coast Hecate a Hunting Rifle to start with, since she's a rifle person. It worked really well on the radroaches. I always have trouble hitting them. I think because of how low they sit to the ground, there is something funky about the area that counts as a hit on them, like it is only halfway there. But I was able to get good hits on them with the hunting rifle every time. I know exactly what you mean about that vault door shutting behind you. The way the metal groans and screeches, it is so very final. It rams home the reality that you can never go home again, and are leaving your best friend behind forever. It would have been easier if Amata had come with you. Less lonely. The plants in the area around Chernobyl are not just surviving, but thriving. A few species did not survive the radiation, but the others have really stepped up their game, and without humans around they are actually doing better than before. So plants are actually much more resistant to radiation than anyone ever suspected. Look at Hiroshima or Nagasaki too. You would never imagine that either had been leveled by nukes just 70 years ago. Welcome to MegatonYou people really drink this stuff? So I rent you, and the bed comes with the deal? This place is a lot different from the Vault! You want me to do what with the atomic bomb?Wasteland justiceFixing the pipesGood thing the office helper has a built-in laser weapon...This post has been edited by SubRosa: May 24 2016, 07:37 PM

Megaton looks like a Pilajunk. So, was the bed extra after all? Nice to see Hecate establishing her gun creds. Gonna need a bigger hammer to fix those pipes. Love the last picture of Hecate and Robbie!

You know, I always took for granted that Bethesda and the Black Isles/Obsidian researched the effects of a nuclear war in making their games; that the wasteland would be an accurate prediction of what would take place. So what you wrote here surprised me, so I looked it up. That is amazing! I mean, this was supposedly a nuclear war, which would not have had the long lasting radiation to begin with (verses a leak from a nuclear power plant like at Chernobyl; where the radiation remains in full strength for thousands of years) So seeing the current pictures of Chernobyl was actually shocking to me! And it brings up imaginations of mutated genes in biology similar to that vault in New Vegas, lol. Overly large plants; overly large worms or centipedes - mutantly overlarge - like horror movie stuff, lol. Anyway; I live just a couple miles from Oak Ridge; and all of their secret nuclear farms are fenced off and you can't trespass on them. But they abut a lake and there are no fences; no signs along the shore saying "Keep Out," or at least I didn't see them. So I was out fishing in a small Jon boat; saw some wild horses and had to stop. Pulled the boat up on the shore and scouted around, hiked over the whole area several times (on several different trips) to see the horses and other animals. Then one day a uniformed man in a truck driving off road "caught me" there and informed me that it was government property and I was trespassing. I told him I didn't know, just stopped to see the wild horses. He shuffled me out of there very quickly. But I did catch some VERY strange looking fish in the streams around that area; nothing that is known to be in ETN, that's sure. If it looks weird, I don't eat it; so I threw them back. But my husband was pretty sure they looked mutated, and we both wondered if there had been leaks or testing in that area. Anyway, it surprises me that as accurate as Bethesda is with the layouts of the land, that they wouldn't have realized that there would be vegatation 200 years after a nuclear war = especially since the majority of the radiation in a nuclear blast is used up in the blast, and the residual radiation dissipates rapidly after that, in just years it is safe to live in ground zero as opposed to a nuclear plant leak where thousands of years have to pass before the area is safe for habitation. Very interesting, I def learned something today from you on this! * Urk, what is that food in the guy's plate? Bleah! BWAAHAA! And an expensive bed at that price! "Different from the vault" is my favorite shot, what a great pose and shot both! Looks like Hecate is 100 caps poorer today, lol. Ah, good old Mr. Burke! Is she really fixing the pipes? I've done that every time, but never seen my character actually doing it! (that I remember) Oh, or is that a pose? Ah, the old Super-Duper Mart! Poor robot, but he sure does bring out the enemies so you can snipe them while they are looking at him, lol. Great shots; and really glad you told me about that vegetation; I was just taking Bethesda's (and Black Isles's/Obsidian's) vision as an accurate depiction!

Acadian: Everything looks like a pile of junk in Fallout. That is one of the things I love about these games. Junk is treasure! (seriously though, it is...) The bed was not extra at all. Though Hecate did not get much sleep... mALX: The manual for the original Fallout game has a little section near the beginning about the effects of nuclear weapons and radiation. It is short, but very good. It was made by a different game company of course - Interplay ,and they had a much better grasp than Bethesda. Have you ever seen any of the Life Without People kind of shows? I have seen a few by different networks. They generally give me a warm and fuzzy feeling, knowing how quickly and thoroughly that Mother Nature can obliterate all traces of human habitation. It gives me hope that our planet will survive us. One of the scariest things though is not even the nuclear power plants. They are set to automatically shut themselves down (put all controls rods in the reactor to stop the nuclear reaction) if they detect no sign of humans operating them. It is the spent nuclear fuel that is probably the most dangerous thing on the planet. These used fuel rods are encased in metal to contain the massive radiation in them, and stored in pools of water that are kept constantly chilled. The chillers have backup generators in case the main power grid goes out, and enough diesel to keep going for weeks. But once they run out of diesel the water stops being cooled. The spent fuel is so hot that it will evaporate all the water, and then literally burn off the metal cases. After that the radiation within them is exposed to the air and spread everywhere. No matter what kind of apocalypse - Zombies, Aliens, or even just the world running of oil - that would happen all over the world once the power went out. So eventually every apocalypse will become a nuclear one as well. You live near Oak Ridge? That sounds kind of creepy, considering all the nuclear work they have done there over the decades. I found that fish!Nova's bed is expensive! I think she charges more than the Tiber Septim Hotel! That is a pose I used in the pipe fixing picture. It is the one of Gob banging on the radio. I love the robots you can activate in Fallout 3. It is one of the things I really miss in New Vegas. Some of the game's most hilarious moments come from those things clunking around and attracting the attention of every monster in the level - all the while they are saying things like "Use of deadly force has been authorized." Oh, this manual is amazing! They really should have kept that info with the game sequels! Awesome! Thank you so much for that link, I really loved seeing that! (including the 100 recipes for rat, lol) . That fish had me in hysterics, lol. The robot dialogue should win some kind of award; I love it!!! And yeah, I have activated every robot I find just to hear that, lol. I do miss them in New Vegas; and also miss being able to blow up stuff by shooting it. (like old cars or buses, etc) * This grass is amazing, I'm not even sure where she is (and it is unusual for me to not recognize any where in FO3, ) Your colors look so good here, I am really tempted to fiddle with the colors in my game too! That mirelurk looks like it senses Hecate's presence, lol. Oh, I hate those ants! But their fire nectar does come in handy - (against them; but there aren't too many other fire damages in the game against the player that I've found) What an interesting looking morning sky! The red glow near the ground - not sure what is causing it, but it looks very cool! It kind of looks like a morning mist, but red! Urk, that ghoul looks like it is about to land on Hecate! Morning on the River is gorgeous; and my favorite shot! All are Awesome shots !!!

mALX is right; your grass does indeed look fabulous. You know I like all those old billboard ads in FO! Oooh, stealthy! Looks like Hecate has accepted a Terminex contract for Grayditch. Red sky in the morning, sniper take warning. . . . Eeep! I can only imagine what Hecate sees through her scope at that range! Sittin’ on the dock of the bay. . . .

Hecate and that ant she killed reminds me of a favorite Space Marine line from Aliens - "Is this gonna be a real stand up fight or just another bug hunt?" What an adorable. . . thing that is telling his troubles to Hecate. Timmy and the Lassie Morrowind well! Not a good idea to go bounty hunting for Hecate! Popping caps! Le Chic – Eeep! What a fashion disaster! Yup, the wasteland looks pretty good with all that SkyBlivion trees and grass. Dawn patrol is simply a beautiful shot of our dark-haired sniper.

OMG, that red sky is gorgeous! The red sun after the nukes destroyed the ozone? Or is it the Red Sun of Krypton? Yes, most def would like that. My new email is the same as the old one, but instead of "TDS.net" it is "Comcast.net" BWAAHAA! Man, those molerats sure are ugly! I love the Yao Gai with the "Animal Friends" perk, and won't kill the molerats if they aren't attacking - but won't pet them or rub their bellies like I do the yao gai, lol. Oh crap, the Talon Company! I think it is kind of crappy the way Bethesda has them appear as friendly and then they surround you and suddenly after a few words they are showing as enemies - but that said, it does most def add some spice to the game to not know when you leave a place if you will be sniped coming out, Holy Cow, is that a Nuka Grenade? Awesome !!!! Oh, now what is she planning to do at Tenpenny Towers? They did a great job on the grass in this mod, it looks fantastic! (and real!) Love the Dawn Patrol shot, but the grenade is still my favorite! Okay, so I finally played the end out on the PC game for the first time since my 360 broke - and as much as I love being on the PC for modding, getting unstuck, poses, etc - the PC has NOTHING on the 360 when it comes to following Liberty Prime across that bridge! NADA !!! On the 360, the controller vibrates in your hand on hits, explosions, etc - and crossing that bridge behind Liberty Prime the first time, that controller was going nuts in my hand; it was jumping out of my hand !!! On the PC it was kind of dull in comparison. It was really a disappointment, surprised me that it was so plain after how exciting it was on the 360. Oh well.
