I´m getting my feel back in my jaw now. Haven´t eaten anything since 8AM but I seem to cope with my hunger better than I thought I would. I guess me not wanting to cram food in my mouth after this is stronger than my hunger. For now tongue.gif

Will eat something later and re-re-re-re-rewatch some How I met your mother episodes. The series just finished here and they immediately started over with the very first episode laugh.gif

Btw, love the girl playing their mother. She´s CUTE!!

I love that show! Can you just drink something instead of eating? A fruit and yogurt smoothie or something?

They didn´t say anything about not eating for a certain period of time. If that was important they would have told me so that´s just me being me tongue.gif

I´m actually amazed by how little I´m hungry considering I haven´t eaten anything since early this morning blink.gif

I'm shocked you ate before going to the dentist to begin with! You must have a strong stomach like a camel or something!

Why wouldn´t I eat beforehand? I love eating breakfast! Also, I knew I wouldn´t eat again until late this evening so I had to get something in my tummy biggrin.gif

I brushed thoroughly after, though.

And the reference is to this.

If you didn't see the Disney series, it doesn't make sense. If you did, then that didn't make sense, either.

What a day. I should have been a standard Monday, with nothing more than a grocery run to Walmart to break the blessed monotony. Instead I spent almost the whole of the morning investigating and then trying to decide what to do about my Brother's claim that he's been hearing what sounds like an animal in his attic. Yup. I didn't see the critter or critters in question, but the largish pile of dropping near the hatch proves that at least one creature has been there for some time. Those droppings ain't none to small neither.

Had found one local (?) animal removal specialist on the net before heading out. (My bro isn't connected to the net.) Gave them a call, and after lengthy waiting received a response. My bro will get a free inspection by them NEXT Monday. From what little I talked with the fellow on the phone, it ain't gonna be cheep. Far from it. Especially if we have them patch the hole at one edge of the roof that is the most likely entry point.

That done for now, I drove to Walmart for groceries, then returned home. Checked mail while hauling groceries to the home. Got a bill from my Primary Care Physician office. A bill I don't believe I should have to pay. This has been ongoing for some time now, stemming from them filing a Medicare claim for a visit back in March under the wrong code, or so the office initially told me. Only, it's gone downhill from there, with Medicare denying the code change (saying it was handled incorrectly), and me periodically badgering the PCM office about getting it properly fixed. I called last week I to be told payment would be put on hold until the case was reviewed and another correction submitted. Yet I got a bill in today's mail. Go figure. I naturally called about that, hopefully straightening it out. (The bill being on hold, not the bill itself.)

Ate lunch. Discovered that due to storm chances the sky was overcast with a slight cooling breeze. I stuck in my earplugs and was able to mow the entire back yard before the sun came out. When it did, it took all of a few seconds under a now baking sun to know I was done for the day.

Talked to my neighbor, a handyman who does home repairs, about my bro's dilemma. He agreed to meet me at bro's house tomorrow morning and take a look at the situation.

Back in my house, I attempted to call my bro to let him know about the new arrangement...to find that his (land-line) phone is on the blink. It begins to ring, turns to static, then disconnects. I've tried and tried since then, hoping he'll notice that one brief ring and either pick up in time of figure it might have been me and call back. (His phone worked fine for outgoing calls this morning.)

And now....supper time.

Sad news. Hastings has gone bankrupt and will close all stores by 31 Aug. They were our oldest surviving book/entertainment store. I bought many a title there over the years. Some DVDs too. Even rented movies from 'em on VHS back in the day. With them gone only Barnes & Noble, in the mall, remains.

Might swing by there sometime these next few days and see if anything of interest remains on shelves. Article I read says most items should be on sale for 10-30% off. Alas, they no longer honor Hastings gift cards. What I get for not using mine sooner.

We don't have Hastings around these parts. Wasn't there a big battle fought there once? wink.gif

I get most of my movies from Best Buy, and sometimes from Meijer. Best Buy is the only physical store I know of that sells 4k movies. Meijer I am in a lot for groceries and other things, and they actually have a lot of blu-rays and dvds. In fact, I didn't even realize that Batman vs. Superman was out on disc until I walked into a Meijer and saw it on one of those cardboard promo shelves just inside the door. (So I drove to Best Buy and bought it on 4k... biggrin.gif)

I don't buy any hard copy books anymore. I get them all digital. It is easier on my eyes to read from either my laptop screen or my tablet.

Since you mentioned VHS, the last company that still made VCRs has decided to stop production at the end of the month. No more tapes.

We had a great used book store here that was huge - rows and rows of used books; all for between 10 cents and 4.95 depending on whether it was hardback or rare, etc. When they went out of business a few years ago, I nearly cried!

Boy was I hit by a case of the punies yesterday. Think it was a combination of all that went on the day before (I finished the lawn mow as the sun set Monday evening.) and spending several more hours at my bro's house yesterday morning. Whatever.

Came home circa 1100. Ate lunch. Messed around on the internet. Nodded off at my computer desk for an unknown about of time. Woke circa 1310 when my bro called. (I'd left a note for him to do so on his kitchen table.) Groggily related to him possible plans for removing attic animal(s) and fixing roof. Went to bed. Sleep until circa 1640. Ate supper. Bro called again, letting me know about the Hastings closure. Did my evening TMJ exercises. Went to bed. Slept until circa 2145. Did my last TMJ exercises of the day. Submitted my Hastings post. Went to bed. Fell asleep almost immediately. Woke circa 0150. Might have gotten in a bit more sleep between then and when I finally crawled out of bed at circa 0330.

Today I've a TMJ/Dental appointment at 0830, and need to make calls on bro's attic animals. Might also swing by Hastings and see if anything worth buying is left on the shelves (and on sale).
