QUOTE(haute ecole rider @ Sep 15 2016, 04:43 AM) I do have a question, I think I already know the answer. Researching a trait is specific to the item used, right? In other words, researching well-fitted on a pair of greaves does not mean that the same trait is counted as researched on a cuirass, yes? I'd have to research a cuirass with well-fitted traits to be able to craft a similar item?
Correct. It's good that you've started researching traits early, it can take a while but it's well worth it for set bonuses. Mazul sounds great, and from the screenies I've seen she looks great too. What class is she?

QUOTE(Grits @ Sep 15 2016, 07:05 AM) Acadian, endless is exactly how it feels. Blacksmiths have all of the armor pieces plus all of the metal weapons! All of my crafters have used skill points to reduce the research times, and I brought in my Argonian Stays-Up-Late for the purpose of helping to manage the enormous trait research inventory. It is worth it, though! The sets you can craft once you have researched a lot of traits are very cool. For you PC players I have seen an Add-On field in inventory screenshots that tells you if a trait is researchable for that character so you don’t accidentally sell or deconstruct a research piece. I used notes that I stored in my phone to keep track of that, but an Add-On would be so much better! I have tried one of the three add-ons for keeping track of multiple character's researching. It is a bit klunky, I've been tempted to test its competition. What I've done up till now (still doing since I'm not sure I'll keep using the add-on) is used an 8 X 12 sheet of paper for all three of the Armor types; and another sheet for the Woodworking and Weapons = made a gridwork so I could keep track of each character and who had researched what. Once one character has researched something, you kind of don't need to hang onto that trait/item type anymore and have them clogging up your inventory because that character can now just make that item for the others to research from as needed. (a cheap level one item with just the trait) = that way the good drops you have been holding for research can be deconstructed, giving you some breathing room in your inventories/bank account, Actually, Acadian and I have been covering each other on that. Misa sent Buffy a lowest level bow she crafted with a trait Buffy needed; Buffy sent back a bow she had crafted with a trait Misa needed badly and hadn't come across. Now Misa has made a bow with that trait for Calia to learn from. ** On a totally different note (almost) = Misa made Master Clothier last night! She immediately sank her free skill points into the Materials Leveling skill so she can now make Daedric; Dwarven; Ancient; (etc) Medium and Light armor !!! WOO HOO !!!!! Since getting that achievement freed up her time and she had some to spare, she decided to get a couple more achievements. She now has the "I Like M'aiq" achievement for talking to him in every Province (she only lacked two Provinces when she started; Rivenspire and Reaper's March) - WOO HOO! She got the "This One's On Me" achievement for buying a drink for the Undaunted in every Province (she only lacked one to complete it) = WOO HOO! Since she was on a roll, she crept into the Rosy Lion (looking for Jerric's expertise) and a few other places to pull a prank. She stole a full set of armor, put it all on, then went out and pickpocketed a guard. Of course the guards always confiscate your stolen goods, lol. The screens of her arrest: And that gave her two more achievements - one for indecent exposure, as you can see by the screen, lol. So Misa had a good fun night once the server came back up!

Congrats to Misa the Master Clothier! Sounds like a fun night! Jerric has been sampling strange meat to help an Orsimer cook he met in Wrothgar. She gave him some neat recipes for his help. Not what he was hoping she’d give him, but still better than a punch to the groin. He was overjoyed to hear of Misa’s night of pranks. Here he is at the Rosy Lion, toasting Misa’s success. (The other patrons rudely still wearing their shirts are obviously not Nords.)

mALX, that is so funny about the guard confiscating Misa's stolen clothes right off her body! Grits, love the shot of Jerric singing into his mug! Buffy's combat skill set is so focused (mostly bow and summoning) that she's finding that even after supporting passives and a few misc things she still has plenty of skill points and seems to be earning them faster than she can spend them. She's been perking woodworking and clothier for some time. Now she just got into enchanting and quite likes it.

Congrats to Misa on becoming a Master of Clothes! Hopefully this will help support her shopping habit . . . Loved the shot of Jerric toasting the band - I kind of expect him to do the mash pit next! Certainly dressed for it, right down to those leather pants and the matching codpiece! Mazul is going to town on those writs - primarily the equipment writs. Julian is going to cover the consumables board, though we are still scratching our heads over the enchanting stuff. I have more questions, but I think I'm going to move them over to the Tips and Tricks board. I think that's a better thread for our newbie stumblings. @Haa-Rei: Mazul is a DragonKnight, and she put a lot of her early points into her offensive spells. Now we are focusing more on the crafting lines, especially the equipment crafts. At this point we haven't started crafting steel - that is not a perk she has selected even though she is now Level 12 overall. I can't remember her Blacksmithing level, I think it's somewhere around 15?

(Oblivion Orc reference!) BWAAHAA!!!! What a great shot !!!! Misa thought of Jerric when she chose that particular prank; and his habit of stepping out nude in the middle of the night to visit the whorehouse, then realizes when he gets there that his gold sack was in his greaves, But Misa is a Nord, and she still has never spent as much time naked as Calia; who spent her late teens setting the fashion in the Aldmeri of going to battle Dolman while pantsless under her jack: http://i.imgur.com/WX0igtp.pngAnd unless you pry the drink out of her hand; she may show up to battle like this: http://i.imgur.com/4li3Pri.pngNot to mention goes topless on dares/challenges/or possibly when drinking (ala Jerric) http://i.imgur.com/RZGdV0D.pngAnd isn't daunted by getting on stage topless (and yes, she is "Undaunted," http://i.imgur.com/uHUd8FR.pngThis post has been edited by mALX: Sep 16 2016, 12:00 AM

I kind of expected Buffy would like Enchanting once she got started; I mean - if she is making her own bows, of course she would want to enchant them!!! Really Awesome how fast she is progressing! QUOTE(Grits @ Sep 15 2016, 09:46 PM) I'm rolling over haute's codpiece comment! I had to laugh when I saw how crotch-forward that picture turned out. There's no question who it is!
I think it's nice that ESO gave the ladies a cute bra and panties. Jerric is not thrilled with his man-panties. If he MUST wear underwear, he would prefer some boxers or even that grubby loincloth from Skyrim over the men's ESO Speedos.
I was laughing at how "crotch forward" Jerric's screen came out too, but then Haute's comment sent me choking and rolling on the floor !!! I mean, I don't know what a "Cod" looks like, so was picturing some sockeye salmon flipping and flopping ... you get the picture, SPEW !!!! This post has been edited by mALX: Sep 16 2016, 03:10 AM

QUOTE(mALX @ Sep 16 2016, 03:36 AM) QUOTE(haute ecole rider @ Sep 15 2016, 11:30 PM) @mALX: the first time I heard the term "codpiece" that's exactly what I thought too! Of course, I was all of twelve years old. Then I saw Rutger Hauer unbuckling his codpiece in a forgettable movie and went "ha-ha!" I think I was quite a bit older and maybe a bit wiser by that point. I never heard the term in my life till you said that, then I promptly go to Kvatch in game and hear an NPC saying it !!!!! I was laughing so hard that I pressed too long on the key or something and my character who was supposed to be sneaking through came tumbling out in the open and promptly got a bounty! Glad I could make your day! Last night after work I logged on with Julian first, and we did some stuff in Stormhaven. Then I switched over to Mazul and bought more storage space at the stable. For the second time I had someone whisper to me "are you RP'ing?" I said not really, and the other said "Oh well. happy gaming then." So Mazul's name is catching RP players' attention?

Rider, sounds like you're having great fun with Julian and her big pal, Mazul. It seems that you get a cosmetic change to your mount once you buy 20 stable training sessions. Buffy got her saddlebags to show up then. Now she's working on 20 speed training sessions to get those nifty speed straps on Superian.
Buffy's level 32 and questing in Greenshade. It seems she is always a bit higher level than her quests require. I figure that means she's slow, methodical and always sticking her curious little nose into things. No surprise there.
We've decided that her skill set is so focused that she seems to have plenty of skill points to support woodworking, clothing and enchanting - everything a mystic archer needs!
Her clannfear + bow skills + sneak (no melee) seems to be working wonderfully as long as she doesn't charge into things.
mALX just gifted her with a fabulous set of armor that is similar to Calia's but in Bosmer style - so that should help her for quite awhile.
Oh, and she got tired of waiting to see if the crown store was going to offer the palomino again and brought back Superian's Oblivion colors (black with white feet, mane, tail).
Edit: Oh, on the RP questions, another possibility that comes to mind - Buffy is typically the only PC that I see walking. Even Superian normally walks. The only time either of them run is when tactics require it. I can imagine that might prompt some RP inquiries. Didn't you say your girls generally walk?

Rider, I think Acadian is onto something with the walking. That plus a lore-friendly name would attract RPers, possibly interested in recruiting you for their guild. On the PS4 NA server they are always looking for more RPers. There is an orc guild that has fun-looking events in Daggerfall from time to time. They are on their own voice channel so I can't hear what they're saying, but they're acting like orcs and not like kids who have chugged every Monster drink in the fridge. Acadian, Jerric thought of Superian when he first saw that black and white horse. The palomino is available as part of the Gold bundle (the game plus 4 DLC I think). I'm glad Buffy has a mount she is happy with, and as always things are subject to change! Fabulous news that Buffy has found a set of skills that work plus some interesting crafts to support them! Darnand is still waiting for a horse coloration that he deems worthy of Banner. He has seen the grey Yokudan charger at the stables, not for sale of course. That's the one we're hoping makes it back into the Crown store, though I would be even happier seeing it for sale in-game for gold. This post has been edited by Grits: Sep 17 2016, 05:22 PM

Yes. We walk more than run. The only time I put them into run is if they're working on storyline quests. Otherwise, resource collection, moving from point A to point B, and generally just being in the world, they're walking.
And yes, that does make them stand out more. But only Mazul has gotten the RP question, so I suspect they're drawn to the name as well. When we're walking, I think it's easier to see our names and whisper to us before we fall off their radar. The PC's that run around are so fast that I never see their names for long, let alone long enough to figure out which name goes with which PC.
Especially in Daggerfall on the weekends.
Julian is finally in Wayrest, and it looks like she is suckered into hitting people up for loans. Just can't say no to a kitty! Mazul is at the bank waiting for Julian to send more high iron ore her way so she can finish her blacksmithing writ. Now I understand about not leveling up the smithing skills until you're ready to move into the next zone. We thought we could start crafting steel armor for Mazul while doing the iron writs, but nope.
