Speaking of Monty Python, and on a more somber note, I just read that Terry Jones has been diagnosed with dementia.

Yes, that is so sad. I hope the National Aphasia Association makes him the "Poster" for Aphasia. It may bring some more awareness to how it affects people to have such a beloved person representing it.

Today was pretty good weather here. Very sunny, but with a good breeze

That's why the weather was good today, because you would have been expecting it to be bad

That and the bad weather's scheduled for tomorrow.

Which is when I'm going up to see my mum.

My old cottage puter ran into a bump in the road this weekend and now something isn´t working as it should


Well, everything seems to work fine but now I always get a popup message on startup saying a file is damaged, something to do with the audio. Ran scandisk to try and save whatever got corrupted but I don´t know.


And to think, the poor bastadh is only 22 years old!

Poor Puter.

It´s a pure fighter, no doubt. Not many computers are still up and running after two decades.


The issue is that sometimes, randomly, something happens and the fans stop swirling and it sounds like if I had shut it down and pulled the plug. It´s normally not a big issue since a gentle fist bump on the side gets it going again unless it happens right when I am shutting it down which was the case here. Something took damage and there literally was nothing I could have done to prevent it.

Thankfully, Puter still seems to work like normal except for that popup message.

After 22 years I think it may be time for an upgrade!

I have a computer guy who knows about this computer as he´s been helping us with it over the years and he´s amazed it´s still up and running at all

And I´ll be damned if I give up on it now!

Heh, on the subject of old computers, that's as encouraging as I get.

What I was really thinking was: "It's got one foot in the grave, just scrap it already!"

I´m gonna keep resuscitate* it as long as I have access to electricity
