Grettings! This one visits you from the Bethesda Forums, of which he has been a member since 2009. Recently, a raven named mirocu informed Khajiit of the community here and so this one did what any curious Khajiit would do: lurk in the shadows and observe this new community. After watching for a while this one decided that this might be a good place for Khajiit to go since the Bethesda Forums are undergoing the Grey March. This one looks forward to interacting with all of you greatly! Warm sands!

If any kind person would care to explain to Khajiit how custom avatars work here, this one would be most greatful!

Yeah! We have a new resident Khajiit! Under "My Controls" in the upper right of your page, there should be a place that says "Add new Avatar" (or some similar wording). It is easiest to have the image you want on your computer's photo gallery, and just browse your computer to add it.

The image you use can't be any larger than 90 X 90.

Welcome, Dark Reaper! Heh, the BethSoft forums did an 'upgrade' in early 2010 and that brought a whole clutch of fiction writers from there to here (me included). With the prospects of another 'upgrade' to those forums over there, it is nice to see some more folks coming over here from there.

Still having trouble with the avatar. Khajiit can't find the option to browse the computer anywhere.
Just for clarity:
1. Go to My Controls
2. Click Edit Avatar Settings
3. The only options it gives Khajiit are to use pre-installed avatars, and linking an address from a website, yet its not accepting this one's photobucket links.
Khajiit hates to be the "annoying new guy" with the problem, but any input is appreciated!

Okay, that feature is no longer available, I'm sorry. If you have an avatar image 90 X 90; upload it to any photo place like "Photobucket" or "Imgur" and you can use its "Direct" URL to add it in the "Edit Avatar" section of your "My Controls."

Photobucket has become really unstable because they are so desperate to show you ads that they block you from seeing your pictures until you have returned to their page 3 times to view their ads. A direct link should still work if it is embedded; but otherwise it takes you to their page several times instead of showing you the picture.

But that place to paste your photo's URL - it should embed the photo if you use the "Direct" link on the Photobucket page.

No worries friend, thank you for the assistance! Khajiit will give it another go once back at the computer. This one may even join Imgur since you say photobucket is unstable. Warm sands to all!
