Haa-Rei had a last run around The Gold Coast and Wrothgar today before I cancel my ESO+ subscription. Fortunately, as of yesterday, we have enough pieces of both the Briarheart and Morihaus sets for Haa-Rei and Cirinwe respectively to get the set bonuses! I'm planning on buying the Orsinium DLC properly, just waiting to see if they do a discount for the anniversary.
As for Ciri, she finished up the questline in Shadowfen and moved on to Eastmarch (though I just realised that I've missed a quest in Shadowfen. Oops). First order of business was to do the next Mages Guild quest (always a hoot), and The Prophet has been waiting for us to join him for a while now too. All in all, Cirinwe is one busy elf!

I hear you about running two characters!
I purchased the Imperial Edition of ESO, so I thought I'd be set. Then they come out with the Guilds and Glory sale, so I got that, too. Happened to have a good payday, so . . .
The ESO+ subscription is less and less appealing. The Bag O' Crafting is just about the only thing I would want from it, and on my budget, 15 simoleons a month is a bit rich. So, no.
I spent some time with Julian yesterday exploring Rivenspire and moving through the Covenant quest line. It's an interesting process, what with giant bats, big spiders (look out, SubRosa!), blood fiends and vampires. Though what's the difference between a blood fiend and a zombie escapes me at the moment. I'm sure it'll become clear by the time Julian finishes the Rivenspire quests.
Just before I had to log off to head out to work, Julian and I discovered that Misa of Ebonheart had sent Julian new gifts! In the nick of time too, as Julian had literally just leveled up to 26! So we headed back to Shornhelm so Julian could sell some stuff, deposit others in the bank for Mazul, and make room in her inventory for the new gear. At this point we haven't yet decided what colors we want to use - Julian's Desert Storm palette is just a little too light and too yellow for Rivenspire. For now we're sticking with what Misa used. It's kind of cool, really. Julian says it's just a little too red. I'm looking at some of the other players and shaking my head - by comparison Julian is really dull. But that's the way she likes it. And that retires the last of the Death Wind gear that Misa had given Julian so long ago. Like, just a month ago today.
Last night we headed out to western Rivenspire and did some more questing and exploring. The new gear works great!
And my impressions of ESO continue to grow and evolve. I feel like I'm settling into the whole online thing - it feels like ESO is a great gateway for single player gamers to move into the multiplayer experience. Sometimes (especially when taking on the dolmens or the bosses) it's good to have an ally.
So far we haven't yet officially grouped up with anyone else - though Mazul has had a couple of invites and so has Julian. While we're part of a guild, it doesn't seem particularly active and I'm often the only player online. I'm not disappointed, really. Just learning how things are. But what's cool is encountering another player with a similar goal, and supporting that player so that we both get what we want. Afterwards, we go our separate ways. And that's the way Julian likes it. Mazul, too.

I'd say ESO+ is great for exploring DLC without paying the full price for them (especially with smaller DLC like Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood)and the other bonuses make it worth it if you can afford it, it's just that I no longer can if I want to be able to afford any thing else this year (lots of games and whatnot coming out). The craft bag is super helpful, and I get to keep it after cancelling my subscription - I won't be able to add new items to it, but it's still going to be there to hold what's already in it.
I hear you about the multiplayer thing. I play a few multiplayer games, but ESO is really nice and casual about it. Most of the time you can get by without having to properly group with anyone, and the occasional emote is all you need to communicate with strangers - perfect for shy adventurers like Haa-Rei and Ciri. The little guild that I joined the other day just got up to 50 members, so we might have a guild store soon. Fingers crossed!

Is it red? The darn thing about crafting for another player is that - you can't see what you have created! I never know what it looks like until I see it on a character (or more often than not, see a screenshot of them in it). Misa is up in the Ancestor Silk for robes, and I was wanting to make her one light robe to wear kind of as a dress (because the robes are gorgeous and stylish in ESO) - but the racial styles and sets are all so different looking, I really want to see what they look like before sinking 150 pieces of cloth into one!

@mALX: I know about not being able to see what they look like before you craft! Ugh! But I posted screenies of Julian modeling her new armor and weapons over on the screenshot thread if you want to check them out. @hazmick: So you get to keep the stuff you have in your Bag, after canceling the membership, but can't add any more to it? Umm, okay. So I'd have to do serious farming while I have a subscription going just to make that Bag last a long time. But it would be a good way to clear out the bank. Hmmmmm. Right now I'm waiting for the NA server to come back online. ESO just updated itself, so I suspect the One Tamriel went live today. But the server is still down (since 3 am my time!) for maintenance. Bummer. I was hoping to adventure with Mazul this morning before leaving for work in a couple of hours. Looks like it's not going to happen . . .

Oh yes, I almost forgot. Today is the day for One Tamriel on PC. Those of us on console still have 2 weeks left I imagine it's a pretty sizeable update (memory-wise) since it's such a large change to the base game.

It was announced on October 5, but not released till November. Urgh, another month plus of waiting before I will buy it then. It came out while I still had the Plus membership, but (between bad health and buying that house for my son) I never got to play it even to try it out before cancelling my Plus membership in December last year.

QUOTE(hazmick @ Oct 5 2016, 02:44 PM) Aah that's a shame. I hope you get to play it - my favourite area out of all the DLC's so far.
It was your screens and telling of it that made me so interested in it last year, but ... just couldn't play at all period at the time. I was offline about 6 months from the game, so dropped my Plus membership when it expired in December of last year. I can't get it now, will just have to buy the DLC with my leftover crowns. That is why I'm hesitant to spend 3000 crowns on just one DLC, just in case they come out with other stuff I really want like the Anvil (Dark Brotherhood) one. I don't care one way or another about the DB, but LOVE being in Anvil! They did an excellent job of keeping the look/feel of Anvil in it! This post has been edited by mALX: Oct 5 2016, 07:51 PM

Mazul is PISSED! And I mean royally, disgustedly PISSED!
And not in a drunk sort of way . . .
The update took away her favorite spell, Fiery Grip, and put it in dormant mode. To bring it back, she has to level her Ardent Flame skills to 30 (she's at 24 now).
It's how she deals with group mobs, for Mundus's sake! Pulls one of them close to her, whale away at him/her before the others catch up.
And because of that, Sir Croix, who is difficult anyway, proved nearly impossible for her to kill. And now she has to deal with the Omen of Fear in Sir Hughes's dream??
I peeked at Julian's skills, and they seem to be largely untouched. So she's okay.
But we have to see how the whole leveling thing works out now . . .

I got three crafting Surveys today = all sending Misa to WROTHGAR for mats, when we don't have Orsinium DLC!!! How are we supposed to get those Surveys? I guess they are trying to force us to buy Orsinium? And Craglorn is a blank map; I'm having to re-find everything without even being able to see it on the map - they wanted to make sure we "Saw" all the changes so took all our pathfinders away, all our completed dungeons, etc. And yes, they changed some of the skills we HAD ALREADY EARNED and just took them away from us - Pissed is a good word. Some of the good changes - quest rewards we got in the beginning of the game are suddenly "Sets" now. Not that we can use them now, but if we start another character it will be good. Why would we start another character you ask? Because my level 8 character is kicking the butts off bosses now, while my CH 197 character can't beat a mud crab anymore!!!! So the devs at Zenimax have royally screwed their game up, imho. Oh, but on a good note: The new deal on mats means I was able to find enough Ruby Ash Wood to make my new bow! So I sent it off to my gf Aussie, and hope next time I'm in game I should get to try out my new bow! And another woman I play with just sent me some homemade Orange Marmalade = MMMMMMMMM!!!!
