In Fallout 3? Probably not, considering the fact that those non-despawning piles of goo and ash will cripple the game. But I've been watching and reading sci-fi since I was a kid, so I'm a complete tech-junkie when it comes to sci-fi games. You give me a game where I can gear up with powered armour and laser or plasma guns, you'd better believe that I'm gonna do just that. Edit: *facepalms* thought you meant energy weapons versus small guns *facepalms again* But yeah, New Vegas' energy weapons are vastly superior to Fallout 3s. There are more of them, more types of weapon, and weapon customization makes pretty much every gun better than anything non-unique you'll find in Fallout 3 This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Oct 19 2016, 09:21 PM

Also enjoy a nice burnt bagel smeared with cream cheese and honey! Remove the word "burnt" and substitute either bacon or jam for "honey" and I'm right there with you, Gotta have bagels and cream cheese though!

QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 19 2016, 09:26 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Oct 19 2016, 10:22 PM) Late edit is late Well it wasn´t early, I can tell you that much Never bothered with energy weapons in Fallout 3. They all looked so bulky and frankly quite boring to me. The only one I quite like is the equivalent of the regular minigun. Heh, I've spent too much time over the years reading small guns versus energy weapons discussion for Fallout 3 and New Vegas, no surprise my mind kind of goes there by default But to me, small guns in Fallout 3 looked pretty boring, with the exception of the scoped .44 Magnum.

(not the looks, just the performance). I remember finding the alien blaster in my first run of Fallout 3. Biggest WTF moment of the game right there

QUOTE(mALX @ Oct 19 2016, 04:02 PM) Right? Me too! What a great atmosphere they created with that game! All those weird sounds in the sky, and finding that ship just kind of cemented that feeling! What an awesome game FO3 was/is! I think it was Bethesda's last great effort.
Yeah, Khajiit is fairly happy with Skyrim and Fallout4, but Fallout3 (and by extension New Vegas, even though BGS didn't have their stamp on it),was probably their most recent "outstanding" game. Here's hoping that, since they seem to he taking their time with TES6, they will deliver something truly spectacular. Also, this one is very curious about these secret "new projects" BGS is working on.

It really is quite creepy and atmospheric. At least unless you have 3Dog on Well, I only played my radio in towns, it kind of broke the immersion (for me) to play it while out in the wastelands.

That is how I was able to predict Skyrim 4 years before it was announced. (Although they may have learned their lesson and changed their names for this, I noticed they now have offices in other countries that have different names; and they can hide their movements a lot easier now).

Eh, I suppose that's a good enough reason. I actually like the scoped .44 Magnum so much it's the only small gun I'd let into an energy weapons playthrough QUOTE(mALX @ Oct 19 2016, 10:02 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Oct 19 2016, 04:54 PM) I remember finding the alien blaster in my first run of Fallout 3. Fallout 3's a great game, but I don't know that I'd go so far as to call it awesome. I find the main quest too restrictive, and the difficulties involving energy weapons really kick it down a notch for me. Oh, and a part of me really hates the lack of iron sights. But I'll grant that they got a lot of the atmosphere right. In particular I like the way the subway tunnels feel threatening from start to finish, Threedog and the music, and some of the sidequests. But overall, I prefer New Vegas to 3.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 19 2016, 04:16 PM) New projects? Yeah you know, the two "big" projects we are getting instead of a new TES? Starfield or whatever?
