QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 20 2016, 11:20 AM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Oct 20 2016, 12:16 PM) I'm thinking that the thing to do is start with small guns, then move onto energy weapons later on.
Yeah, that´s a good idea. The 10mm submachine gun works quite well and ammo is easy to find for it. I recall the hunting rifle being a pretty reliable weapon early in the game as well. I don't think I'll bother with a sniper rifle though, I hear those things are bugged.

QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Oct 20 2016, 05:00 AM) It's been a while since I went through it too, but I remember a few;
Well, Kvatch presents itself as one massive "you're not ready for this" moment, between the panicked Altmer telling you to run and Captain Matius telling you to get back. It's not quite as blatant as Caius Cosades telling you to go get some experience, but the setup suggests it's out of your league.
And once you get Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple there's no real rush. Baurus is following leads, but I don't recall if you're told he's got anything solid, Martin needs time to decipher the book after that, and the fortress being spied on doesn't seem like a particularly pressing concern given they've no plan to move Martin in the near future.
Then there's the whole Allies for Bruma section, where there's no time limit. That always seemed odd to me really. The fact that it's worth going all the way out to Leyawiin and Anvil to ask for aid just destroys any sense of immediacy.
Hunh. It never occurred to Khajiit that running away was what the high elf and Matius were trying to get this one to do. It really only made Khajiit want to investigate further! You know what they say about curiosity, don't you? As for Allies for Bruma, that played to this one that it should be done as fast as possible (which usually meant running through the Oblivion worlds and fighting as little as possible, lol). Again, different people experiencing the same thing differently. Been using one on my restart. Highly effective. Heads flying off everywhere
