Why Mr. Nevermore! Good morning to you sir!

Smashingly, sir, smashingly! It's technically morning here but this one hasn't been to sleep yet! Feeling a bit like how Dredhwen must, if Khajiit is being honest.

Isn't that pretty much Nintendo's gameplan in a nutshell? It seems they've come up with pretty much everything innovative when it comes to games consoles. Analog sticks and vibrating controllers(N64), touchscreen handhelds(DS), motion sensitive controls(Wii), to name the more successful.

True, but never forget that they also came out with the Virtual Boy, lol

Question: does anyone here know if GameCube controllers have vibration? Khajiit is thinking about picking one up for the Wii. Trying to play Ocarina of Time with the SNES shaped "Classic Controller" isn't cutting it, and it would be nice to have vibration (assuming the function is still in the N64 games from the Nintendo store).

Because the Discworld books were written by one of my favourite authors, Terry Pratchett, who died last year.

Yeah, and the Wii:U didn't exactly work well for them either. Though it's good to see the amount of third party support the Switch looks like it'll have, so it should do a lot better.

And as I still have a Gamecube(my favourite console of that generation) I can tell you that Gamecube controllers do indeed have vibration.

I've been a fan of Nintendo since I bought a Gameboy Pocket back when Pokemon Red and Blue came out biggrin.gif

I may, on occasion, turn into something of a cheerleader for them rollinglaugh.gif

I love the Gamecube. It takes up so little space, looks cool, and has some utterly fantastic games(Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime: Echoes, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader, to name but a few). When I bought mine originally it came with a limited edition Zelda disc, letting me play the first two Zelda games, and the two N64 Zelda games, on my Gamecube. Of course, I still have that disc biggrin.gif

Hey, I've been upgrading. It was the Gameboy Pocket, then the Gameboy Colour, the Gameboy Advance SP, the DS, the 3DS, and currently the N3DS. tongue.gif

Not really, I don't have a Bioshock game anymore panic.gif

Just the first two, which I found immensely frustrating. The first had the better story, but the second had the better gameplay. It really made it difficult to decide which one to play.

I liked the story in the second game although yes, it was more elaborate in the first game. But the gameplay in the second game more than topped that for me as I did find it a bit too elaborate actually. Not to mention you get to play as a Big friggin Daddy!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

My problem with the second is that the story didn't really seem to have any place in Rapture. But the gameplay and playing as a Big Daddy were majorly cool. Though it didn't make the Little Sisters any less creepy.

During a PCM visit early this month the doc prescribed strong sleep inducing medication to replace the OTC sleeping pills I've used for years. Didn't get a chance to take one until night before last (Wednesday evening). Was somewhat disappointed at first. The new med didn't appear to be as fast-acting as I had hoped, though to its credit it seemed better in this regard than my "old" pill. Nor did it seem to let me get in much if any more sleep than the old pill.

I woke circa 0330 yesterday (Thursday) morning. One very noticeable difference, I was much more groggy upon waking, a grogginess which remained through my morning TMJS exercise routine (0415-0500) and breakfast (0500-0530, including short inhaler treatment and teeth cleaning afterward). Ended up napping much of the morning, eating lunch, napping much of the afternoon, eating supper and getting in my nightly TMJS exercise routine, a repeat of the morning routine, napping much of the evening, getting in my final brief TMJS exercises circa 2100, and calling it a day. Was worried all that napping would ruin last night's sleep. To my surprise I fell asleep easily and slept until circa 0335 (which is about as late in the morning as I ever sleep, much as I wish it otherwise).

I actually don't mind that the med kept me in bed much of the day. The Nine know I can use more sleep than I normally get! Plus, not being in the work force, sleeping the day away causes no scheduling conflicts. That said, I'm gonna have to remember not to take the med the night before any appointments or other important commitments. (Either that are use my alarm clock for its intended purpose, which I've not needed to do in a great many years due to rising so early on my own.)
