QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Oct 30 2016, 04:05 PM) Thanks for the replies folks. I'm thinking about checking it out since the "Halloween sale" on steam seemed to only apply to horror games.
I am so tempted to buy Sim City 3000 from GOG right now... This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Oct 30 2016, 05:37 PM

Hey Mr. Nevermore, you are a woodworker of sorts from way back, right? QUOTE(SubRosa @ Oct 30 2016, 11:32 AM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Oct 30 2016, 11:43 AM) Greetings folks.
Anybody here use GOG for game downloads?
I have bought a ton of games from GOG! They and Kickstarter are the best things to happen for gaming in a long time. I hate the idea of being forced to use Steam because of the DRM. So I always buy games from GOG if they have them before any other source. I wish they had more. I have been wanting to try out Legends of the Sword Coast since it came out last year. But it is only on Steam, so I have been holding off. Cool, this was the kind of recommendation I was looking for, thanks! One of the dudes over at Bethsoft said they have Jade Empire on GOG, and I've had an itch to visit that world again.

But that is not really accurate. Some games have multiple versions, and when you buy one, you get the other versions for free. For example, I bought the original Wasteland 2, and when the W2 Directors cut came out they gave that to me for free, and it counts as a separate game. Same with Divinity Original Sin and the DOS Enhanced Edition. Plus they sometimes have game giveaways, where if you spend a certain amount on games in a certain time period, you get a free game. And when I bought my video card I got Witcher 3 for free as well. I have the original Mount and Blade because at one time they just gave it away for free to anyone.

I'll definitely be looking into this, probably tomorrow.

Had that a long time ago. Due to me not being able to understand why people fled my city even though everything was peachy (it literally went from A-ok to F- instantly), the disc ended up in pieces as it turned out it didn´t like being thrown on the floor in frustration.. I haven´t tried it myself, but perhaps you can use a plastic tube or something as a guide for the drill by having the tube pressed down on the material you´re intending to drill. The tube may be around three to five centimeters, depending on how long the drill itself is. Just make sure you get the center exactly where you want it and that it can´t move around. Other than that I´m afraid I don´t have many tips. Whenever I´ve drilled free-hand I´ve simply managed to do a good enough job, one way or another.

If you plan to do a bit of drilling then it´s not a bad purr-chase. C what I did there?

QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Oct 30 2016, 08:39 PM) Heh, ragequitter That´s the only game ever that has genuinely made me angry! I tend to get angry when I face a random, irradic problem for which there is no immediate (or at least semi-immediate) logical solution. Shadowgate, Deja Vu and Uninvited for instance are different. The solution may not be obvious but I know it´s there as part of the puzzle. My problem with 3000 didn´t lay within a puzzle. In my defense I worked on this issue for weeks before finally losing it @mALX - Hey! I see my slug has visited you! This post has been edited by mirocu: Oct 30 2016, 08:47 PM

Maybe, but there is no way for me to check that now, is it? Well, I could and did buy another copy once but it wasn´t in my language so I sold it. Not that it needs to be in my language but my former copy was and therefore I want it that way now. Did I mention I don´t like change?
