Khajiit never got into Star Trek. Always liked the mix of conventional fantasy elements mixed in with the sci-fi that Star Wars presents way more than Star Trek.

They played a marathon of Star Wars on TV yesterday; and (I don't know why) I just couldn't get into it anymore. I think I was spoiled by Dr. Who, can't go back to either Star Trek or Star Wars anymore. (and I am NOT talking about the current Who !!!! (grrrrr on the new Who's)

This one thinks part of the problem is that, for the longest time, we've only had the original films and the disappointing Prequel Trilogy. Watch each of those a few dozen times and it's easy to get tired of them. The best thing to happen to Star Wars in a long time (in Khajiit's opinion), is the television series The Clone Wars. It's actually pretty good for an animated series geared towards children, with some of the subject matter becoming very dark indeed. Also, the Anakin presented in the TV series is way better than the one we got in the Prequel films.


Sometimes this one feels like trying the survivalist lifestyle would be a good thing. Then he remembers that he hates being cold, wet, and dirty.

I agree on the The Clone Wars, and Rebels now too. They are the best thing to happen to Star Wars in a long time. I was just thinking this morning that the Anakin in The Clone Wars was the one that Lucas wanted, but never got in the Prequel movies. The Clone Wars version is the Anakin I can see Obi-Wan saying was a good friend. Not the whiny, mealy-mouthed brat in the films.

One of the things I like about Rebels is that it subtly turns some Lucas'isms on its head. For example, Lucas came up with the whole idea that Jedi should be detached from everyone around them. They should not love anyone, or form close relationships. Because fear of losing them ultimately leads to the dark side (as it did with Anakin).

But in Rebels we have Kanan telling Ezra to form an attachment to others. Not to be afraid of loss, but instead to learn to live with the fact that you will love people and even animals, and you will lose them, and that it is not the end of the world. That, IMHO, is a far more positive philosophy than that of repressing your emotions.

Spot on, this one agrees that the Jedi's ideas about not forming attachments was not good. Khajiit always thought the Sith were more interesting for this reason alone; because they seem more human, for better or worse (mostly worse heh heh heh).

This one needs to get back into Rebels. Saw season 1 up until the episode Vader showed up and stopped watching for whatever reason.
