QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2016, 01:40 PM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 18 2016, 08:37 PM) Where do you folks stand on the "Primitive Guns in TES" argument?
No thanks. Even if they would make sense, as well as cannons on battleships, I don´t want gunpowder in my ES games. Same. Although a part of this one wouldn't mind a spin off TES game set in a steampunk Tamriel.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2016, 01:48 PM) It´s why I don´t like the Dwemer very much. Their abilities ruin the franchise for me Thing about the Dwemer that baffles Khajiit is how come after thousands of years no one has figured out how to replicate their technology? That is, we know people in Tamriel have been studying them.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2016, 01:58 PM) Not if they could be rendered useless by powerful electric spells Then again, anyone could be rendered useless by that Exactly. Better a robot than a living person, Khajiit thinks.

That is, we know people in Tamriel have been studying them. Well, some of it does resist examination rather strenuously. And most of those interested in the Dwemer seem to be mages, at least, of those we come across in the games. A combination of arrogance and a strictly academic viewpoint seem likely candidates. And there's always the fact that the bigger question regarding the Dwemer is what happened to them.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2016, 02:16 PM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 18 2016, 09:12 PM) The Dwemer are actually pretty terrifying if you consider what could've happened had they not disappeared.
Maybe that´s why the devs got rid of them? Ha yeah! "These Dwemer guys. They are just too OP, so we are going to have to cut them. We must have balance."- A Dev

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 18 2016, 03:03 PM) Something just crossed my mind. Since enchantments can be used, can big machines be enchanted with Resist Magic too or are they too big and would require too much energy for the process?
I don't see why not, from what I've seen in Elder Scrolls games magic is limitless and with help from Daedra anything is possible take the Kvatch Siege Machine for example, it was big and resisted magic and all it took to power it was a sigil stone.
