QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 24 2016, 08:36 AM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 24 2016, 01:37 AM) Ooh an apple tree would be nice too! Cider!
I make Apple Cobbler = Mmmmm! Tasty! One year we discovered we had a blueberry bush in a plot right up against our house. A hurricane that had downgraded to a strong tropical storm was approaching so we were placing the lawn furniture up against the house so they wouldn't fly into it. We found the bush then and were frantically picking blueberries before the storm hit. We gave none of them to the neighbors, lol This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Nov 24 2016, 06:30 PM

QUOTE(Decrepit @ Nov 24 2016, 01:14 PM) Just got back from T-day lunch with my bro. The food was better than expected . . . except for its price. I had both ham and turkey, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce and what looked to be some sort of black-eye pea with bacon concoction . . . the usual suspects. Started out with a salad bowl. I've never figured out why salad at these buffet restaurants tastes so much better than those I make at home, considering their ingredients are not overly dissimilar. This will in all likelihood be my only traditional meat & potatoes meal of the year, as has been the case a good many years. As is our practice we arrived a good 20min before the joint opened, which proved a good thing. With its only direct competition having shut down early this year the place was packed. When we left tons of folk were waiting for tables, and the entry line was way out in the parking lot.
No supper for me tonight expect for an apple and a glass of water, and my evening meds and inhaler treatment.
Glad you got to enjoy it! Happy thanksgiving!

Your meal sounds delish! Happy Thanksgiving! QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 24 2016, 12:30 PM)

Bwaahaa! We grew blueberries; blackberries; and raspberries for years; but between neighbors and deer it was a tough fight to get enough into the house for our own use. They were supposed to be a source of income, but never quite made it that far.

Neighbors would steal your berries?? Yes. We offered them each 1 quart free, but they were supposed to buy any more than that they wanted. We caught them out there every year with buckets in the night. One lady had a houseful of friends helping her fill buckets, like they were hers to give away. I seriously considered turning my dog loose on them, lol.

That's nuts. People never cease to amaze Khajiit with their foolishness.
