No Richard Dean = No MacGyver. This is an Irrefutable Fact.

I am watching Spies Above, an old documentary about the early history of spy planes and satellites. As much as I adore Gillian Anderson, her dry delivery is a bit dull. But the meat of the documentary makes up for it. It is very cool stuff, especially the classified projects that took place right under everyone's noses, without anyone having an idea. The very first spy satellite project was Corona. Since the missiles you need to get something in orbit are too big to keep secret, it went under the cover of the Discoverer space program, and they said it was putting animals like chimps in orbit and doing scientific research. But in reality it was taking pictures of the Soviet Union. Hundreds of people worked on Discoverer, and the entire world knew about it. But only a handful of people knew the truth. I finished with Season Three of Penny Dreadful tonight. The ending was very anti-climatic. Most of the last season was. It had a two really high points: Ethan's final showdown with his father, and a flashback episode of Vanessa's time in the asylum - where we learn the The Creature was the orderly who attended to her back when he was still alive. The rest of the season falls rather flat though. In other news I am in the midst of Season 8 of X-Files. So I am getting near the end. I started watching The Lone Gunmen again, since it's one season aired at the same time as Season 8 of X-Files. I still adore this show. It is so much fun! I wish it has not been cancelled. Vikings started back this week! While not the best show technically, Khajiit has enjoyed following it over the past few years and is glad it's back on. It was very confusing after the first four or so episodes (including the insanely good asylum episode "A Blade of Grass".) started the season off really well, IMO. This one thought the ending was a ridiculous (not sure if Ethan reloaded his gun at all during the "final" showdown with the vampires) and rushed mess. It was so bad in Khajiit's opinion that he wrote his own brief ending for the show that he loved so much. Very disappointing.

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Dec 3 2016, 05:50 PM) I started watching season 3 of Black Sails. I just finished the fourth episode, and I am having a good time with it. Ray Stevenson is Blackbeard! He is one of my favorite actors, so it is great seeing him in something again.
Khajiit likes this show. The intro is kickass!
