I know. Case in point -

The normal new crown offerings include two tunic/dresses. Both grace Buffy's wardrobe. smile.gif

The crown crates have lots of wonderful stuff inside them - where it will all stay. kvright.gif

I think the whole point is that they DON'T have wonderful stuff inside; just a bunch of junk and a promise of a possibility of something wonderful.

Well, I can't disagree with you. What I meant I guess is that I like the palamino horse and kind of like one or two of the wizard hats. Maybe another item or two like a blue nixad pet. So lots of good stuff is indeed not accurate. What I meant was a few good items with lots of stuff I don't want. smile.gif

Player housing info is finally here!

Some highlights:

Player housing is called 'Homestead'. It will arrive in February 2017 on all platforms.

"Homestead, included free with ESO's next major game update, introduces the long-anticipated player housing system. It also includes furniture crafting and robust home decoration options. With nearly 40 unique homes to choose from and over 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options..."

"Homes are styled after the game's 10 playable races, and they come in furnished or unfurnished versions. In general, you can purchase any homes you like, regardless of your character's race or alliance. The exception is Imperial-style homes, purchase of which requires that you own the Imperial Edition of ESO."

"All the homes available when Homestead launches will be located in ESO's base zones – not in DLC zones"

"...nearly all homes will be available for purchase via in-game gold. All unfurnished homes that you can purchase for in-game gold will also be available for purchase with crowns. If you prefer your home to be move-in ready and decorated by some of Tamriel's best interior designers, you can purchase the fully furnished version of any home in the Crown Store."

"Furniture and decorative items can be crafted using the existing trade skills, purchased via gold from merchants throughout Tamriel, or bought with crowns in the Crown Store. Most decoration items will be available both in the Crown Store and via in-game merchants for gold."

"Houses are instanced, so you don't have to worry about racing to grab the perfect spot of land"

Exciting stuff! happy.gif

Buffy was strangely pleased to hear this. I know that all she wants in a home is a bedroll under the stars by her mare or the temporary use of a guild or inn room when in town so I wondered why. She explained how she looks forward to visiting her friends - who it sounds like will all have homes! tongue.gif

Khajiit has come into this game at the right time it seems!

So does this mean we can store stuff at the house instead of the having to use the bank? Also, will we be able to invite other players into our homes for a mad tea party?!!

Doesn't say anything about storage, so probably not, but yes you can invite friends to visit - even when you're offline.

Oh ok, so the chests, armoires, and what not are static items? That's going to drive Khajiit crazy...er ( tongue.gif ), but still it will be good to have a house!

I've noticed a new tab for containers when shopping in the Guild store, I think there will be containers available! (possibly attached to our own bank account?)

Thanks for the info, Hazmick !!!!!!!

** I am wondering if we will be able to preview the interiors of the houses before buying?

*mALX hurries to go click on link*

HOLY CRAP, did you see all the food in the Nord home? I see Jerric running to get that! laugh.gif

I'm kind of disappointed they didn't show the Redguard medium home or insides! Do they think Redguard houses all look alike inside? BWAAHAA !!! I'd also be interested in seeing the inside of the Imperial house! (I have seen it on the outside already).

I CAN'T WAIT !!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know. I mean, if NPC's can have respawning chests/wardrobes/dressers/nightstands, why not us? I'd rather have one I can't securely put stuff in but can pull stuff out of than one that has no function, lol.

Definitely! Function is always preferable to static, in Khajiit's opinion.

Just watched the little video. That Redguard house looks awesome! Also the Khajiit house looks like it has some Asian influences in its design (though this one doesn't really approve of the Khajiit in the video letting reptiles wander around in his home tongue.gif).

Oh my gosh, yay! I love that you will have to have done some quests in the area to be able to purchase some of the houses. That answers my "Who wants to live in a plague town?" question.

I'm happy that there will be in-game gold as well as Crown options to buy some of the same things. Some people (me!) enjoy all of the gathering and fiddling that goes into making stuff and saving up gold. Others don't have the time or inclination. This way we all can enjoy Homestead.

Also I had been thinking that some of the trophies and achievements that you earn could make cool decorations. Awesome that there are items you can use which will be linked to what you have done in game. The trophy house mods are hugely popular in Skyrim. Not my thing, but they will make a lot of players happy.

Ohmygosh!!! Books!!! Crafting stations!!! MOUNTS AND PETS!!! What's next, NPCs of your other characters?! This is so awesome!!!

The options for inviting other players look fantastic for easy visiting. Way better than I had hoped. Just be warned you might find Jerric in the Nord home naked in that pile of sweetrolls. tongue.gif

Lol, that was an absurd amount of sweet rolls! You'd never be bullied into giving up your sweet roll again because you'd have enough to make friends with everyone!
