QUOTE(Acadian @ Dec 25 2016, 07:15 AM) Buffy's New Life Festival objectives are complete! She's gotten her do-all-quests blue dye color, an embroidered hood from mALX, a towel costume from Jerric and a plain hood from a reward box. She also, late yesterday, got a second towel costume that, given the kindness others at Chorrol have shown her would like to gift to anyone who needs one. So - one towel costume free to a good home! Just ask. Khajiit may need one. He will try doing more until the 4th and if he doesn't get some by then he may hit you up for the towel.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Dec 26 2016, 07:50 PM) Neat story, Grits. Buffy similarly loves the idea of a big steel tank in front of her.
Buffy did experience a somewhat similar scene some time ago. She came across one of those skull&crossbones sites and there was a character soloing the world boss. She ran to help but as she got closer the primary thing she was looking for (the engaged character's health bar) was happily bouncing between 95-100% full. The character was a CP561 and seemed to be doing fine. Just taking a long time. Standing ready to heal or even toss dps if needed, she watched for a time to see if she could determine what class the character was. Before long, it became clear it was a templar. Eventually, Buffy did toss in some shards, curses and buffs but decided mostly keeping out of his way was perhaps best.
After the templar's 99% solo kill of the boss, Buffy was a little surprised and guilty that the corpse was lootable by her - apparently her support was sufficient to trigger whatever it takes. She has happily learned that the game clearly counts the support/heal/debuff/buff work of healers as counting toward getting credit for kills, not just damage (if any).
I think if you get one hit in it *may* give you credit. Feng shot an arrow to help a character battling a wasp for the Behtnik holiday quest and even though the other player did most of the damage it was still lootable by us.

DragonKnights have some kind of reflect damage pose that makes them totally unkillable, all they have to do is hold that pose and everything done to them reflects onto the sender. Don't know if it is magicka or stamina based or if it is a passive, I've heard about it via PvP complainers, lol. @ Acadian - one of the people I play with that plays a Templar said that they went up against Molag Bal with just their healing bar spells and beat him! Hits or healing, as long as you contribute to the battle in some way. Standing there swishing your sword and missing every enemy as they mill around you won't get you a thing though, as poor Mia found out at a Dolman, lol.

Re: Reflect damage Mira has a helpful reflect damage ability called Defensive Posture (?) that will reflect spells and what not. Not sure if it reflects physical damage.

I'm pretty sure that is the name of it I'll try to find the conversation where they guy was griping about not being able to beat the other player and link it, lol. QUOTE(Acadian @ Dec 26 2016, 09:28 PM) I'm pretty sure that there have been fights where Buffy's total contribution has been healing/buffing the damage dealers, yet she gets loads of lootable corpses after and the 'killing foes' XP counter is ticking away.
I do think I recall a thread on the Zen forums confirming that support contributions count. Like a tank who only blocks or healer who only heals. It is bit hard to test without being careful since several of the skills Buffy uses to curse/heal/buff/debuff/cc cause damage as well.
I know for a fact in the Alliance War that healers also gain Alliance Points in the Cyrodiil war for healing there even if they do nothing else in battle. Healing is recommended as the best way to gain Alliance Points without actually getting into the combat - or just run around resurrecting players if you are like Misa and can't heal another player.

Back when Haa-Rei did some PvP he would get alliance points simply for being in the vicinity when his alliance captured/defended a fort or resource point. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it meant that he could get rewarded even for minimal participation.
