QUOTE(hazmick @ Dec 26 2016, 09:58 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Dec 27 2016, 03:41 AM) I know for a fact in the Alliance War that healers also gain Alliance Points in the Cyrodiil war for healing there even if they do nothing else in battle. Healing is recommended as the best way to gain Alliance Points without actually getting into the combat - or just run around resurrecting players if you are like Misa and can't heal another player.
Back when Haa-Rei did some PvP he would get alliance points simply for being in the vicinity when his alliance captured/defended a fort or resource point. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it meant that he could get rewarded even for minimal participation. Someone else said that too, that you could go invisible and hide in the keep while it is being defended and gain Alliance Points - but like you, don't know if they changed that or not, (because I've only done Scouting so far). QUOTE(mALX @ Dec 27 2016, 11:41 AM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Dec 27 2016, 12:30 PM) Feng got us a Runebox with a filigreed hood last night! We also have an extra runebox mudball pouch if by the cruel joke of some Daedric Prince one of you haven't found one.
I've got a bunch of them extra too. I saw some folks trying to sell them, but they seem rather common. The hoods and towel, they are hats and costumes, right? Not pieces of gear?

My experience in tanking with Eolan is one of long, drawn-out fights when you're alone. Then again, he's a Stamina Templar. Either way, the fact that even early on he was impervious to damage, especially magic, made him a lot more fun to play. Can't say he's able to take on DLC World Bosses on his own, though, but then I haven't exactly tried.
Having someone else tank for you, on the other hand, is marvelous when you're a glass cannon.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Dec 27 2016, 02:48 PM) Yay for Mira and her joining the towel and hood club! Took long enough, lol QUOTE(mALX @ Dec 27 2016, 04:16 PM) Correct. QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Dec 27 2016, 03:33 PM) D'Aaawwww!!! Mira asked this one earlier if he thought the Towel made her look fat. He said, "Of course not!".

I'd be interested in hearing more about your build, like when you say Stamina build do you mean every attribute point is in Stamina? How did you make him impervious to damage and magic damage? Was that via enchantments or part of his build?

Hautee, congrats to Campion Mazul! Khajiit, Mira looks great in her festival outfit. monkey, congrats on hanging up the Nordic festival towel. The extra stuff makes me feel a bit frantic. I wonder how big the pile will be before my crew is ready to be done. Fast leveling from the quests has them all hooked. Today Elke of Green River had the privilege of meeting Buffy! Elke needed to get into Grahtwood without walking across the continent, and Buffy kindly brought her there. Elke felt quite bashful and more than a little like a big white war horse next to Buffy's petite elven beauty. The War Orphan's Sojourn was Elke's last New Life Festival quest. She may continue to party, but now that she has tried all of the cultural offerings she will stick to her favorites.

I'd be interested in hearing more about your build, like when you say Stamina build do you mean every attribute point is in Stamina? How did you make him impervious to damage and magic damage? Was that via enchantments or part of his build? Honestly, I've been running the same thing for over a year now that may be behind current meta. That thing being something I threw together that works well enough in solo PvE and the occasional group PvE. By Stamina I mean that all skill morphs are geared towards stamina when I can help it and stamina is the second most invested attribute behind health. I figured since he has a bonus to magicka due to being a Breton, he wouldn't need much investment in the attribute, and his magicka-based skills are limited to things like Breath of Life as an emergency heal or Rune Focus. But as I said, his weapon damage isn't all that great, which makes things like Veteran Maelstrom Arena impossible for him to finish. I also found that his magicka resistance reaches the soft cap way before physical resistance because, again, Breton. Though his physical resistance falls a few thousand short of what is desirable for tanks, which I've been meaning to fix once I get enough Lion Fangs for the Armor Master set. Right now he's running a full Hist Bark and...Vampire's Kiss? The dodge can be a lifesaver when your stamina is hurting. He's also stuck to the Endurance Jewelry set and a Prismatic enchantment on his helmet and shield. I also don't have a very high Undaunted or Alliance War skill line. I DO have Inner Fire and recently unlocked the armor passive, but I don't have caltrops unlocked. Yes, that's right. I tanked without opening with an AoE. Kill me now. I haven't done group PvE content in about a year now, though. This post has been edited by monkeyemoness: Dec 29 2016, 01:10 AM
