I think we might be thinking of two different sets with the name "Hist" in them. Can't blame you. I messed up in my previous post, too. I meant to say I'm using Song of Lamae, not Vampire's Kiss, lol Also, not Lamia's Song. A lot of these sets have names that are way too similar and it's annoying.

I'm running the crafted Hist Bark set, which gives you a 20% chance to completely dodge an attack while blocking, as well as a nice health, health regen and physical resistance boost. I can see why tanks adore it. Good thing I started using it before I became aware of its status.

I feel you on the "death by stun" thing, though. It was especially annoying while fighting the minotaur world boss in the Gold Coast. That it has a heal as well as protection is pretty neat.

I agree with you on too many sets with names way too similar - that Hist Bark/Hist Sap; Night Mother's Gaze/Night Mother's Embrace; etc.


I'm most def taking notes on your Tanking armor tips here! I use Song of Lamae too, my character is a bit squishy and it really helps act as a buffer for her against damage. She is supposed to be DPS, but gets knocked out of action too easily by world bosses even when she is grouped well. (unless the healer is above average). I'm planning to respec her skills and attributes when she has completed her researching; and trying to plan it out before the event so I only have to do it once (hopefully). Most def wanting her to be a bit tougher.

So how do you craft a set? mALX, crafted items from a set for Feng, so does this take a special recipe or something?

You have to have "learned" a certain number of traits to do the sets; then find that set's crafting station out in the wilderness to craft whichever set you want.

(Example: Song of Lamae requires 5 traits learned; and has three crafting locations (one in each Alliance territory)

You learn the traits by researching them at any crafting stations. I sank skill points into speeding up my researching times with my crafting characters because it takes excruciatingly long if you don't. (so once they have researched their last trait and it is "learned," I will reset their skills and get back those skill points I spent on speeding up their researching).

Oh ok gotcha. Mira has learned the first rank of the blacksmithing perk that speeds up researching. We are trying to save everything we can get a trait from but it's still slow going.

Once we get the Guild Bank up, anyone that needs something to research can just ask and another player can craft it and stick it in the bank for them to pull out and use.

Misa is researching Light Armor and Nirnhoned right now, then she will be done.

Haa-Rei hit rank 50 this evening, and morphed the last of his combat skills. We've made really good progress thanks to the festival exp boost. Usually we'd be hitting 50 as we were finishing up the last quests in The Rift, but Haa-Rei is still only about 2/3 of the way through Eastmarch!

We've got a few skill points stocked up and waiting to be used for crafting, and our inventory is full of items with traits waiting to be researched.


Cirinwe has made herself comfortable at a crafting station on Khenarthi's Roost, researching traits with whatever items Haa-Rei puts in the bank. By the time she actually starts adventuring, she should be well prepared.

Holy Cow, that was quick! Lots of New Life Breda's Mead help boost his rise to Champion?

Khajiit could kick himself for forgetting to have Mira drink the mead before doing the Sadal part of the Stonefalls quest line.

I love that questline!

Yeah it was fun! Mira is currently about to confront Magistrix Vox in Deshaan.

I really enjoyed the questline for the Ebonheart Pact. I mean, I do love the Queen and that Khajiit in the Aldmeri questline; and once Indoril dies there is really no close friendship to be found until the last of Ebonheart - but I still think it was so well done!

Aw man, the thing with the Indorils was sad!

It was! I tried dropping the quest and redoing it to see if I could save him before I found out it was a scripted thing. That was an excellent questline.

One of the things this one misses most is being able to reload a save after he does something stupid with his supplies or in order to try a quest over again to see if it has a different outcome.
