QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Jan 1 2017, 10:51 AM) Well, we're starting the year off at least Khajiit wouldn't like the alternative of that, lol

Yeah, no need to try and drag 2016 out further Now I'm faced with the dilemma of which game to play: Borderlands 2 Dragon Age: Origins Skyrim Fable 2 Fallout New Vegas All games I've yet to fully see, mostly on account of DLC/Expansions. And I could almost count Oblivion on that list, as there's a lot I haven't seen, particularly in the Shivering Isles. I've also got Lost Odyssey that I've never actually completed. And that's just the 360. My list of 3DS games is shorter, but I've got more game on that list that I haven't even completed.

Dragon Age: Origins is ok but still not a great game in this one's opinion. Hard to go wrong with Skyrim and New Vegas. Haven't played any of the Borderlands.

Fable 2 is great fun, but the plot is just so bad, on so many levels. The gameplay more than makes up for it, but whoever wrote the plot has no business writing for games. Dragon Age: Origins is one of my favourite games. Though I only play mage or rogue, so I get to avoid the absurdity of the two-handed combat animations. You haven't played any of the Borderlands games? I've only played the first two, but I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who like FPS games with a side of RPG.

This one always took the bad plot of Fable2 as kind of a spoof on big fantasy plots; that is to say, it was bad by design. Don't get this one wrong about Dragon Age: Origins; we had some fun with it for a little while. Khajiit has been meaning to pick up a copy of the original borderlands, but haven't gotten around to it.

I actually read a rather entertaining series of articles on the plot of Fable 2 a while back, here (I bookmarked it ) DA:O has the Arcane Warrior, one of my favourite ever playstyles, so it's pretty much guaranteed to be on my favourites list. And you should definitely pick up Borderlands. I prefer the second game, but Borderlands was another one of those games where I didn't get through the dlcs.

That was actually a very funny read about Fable2's story. Still, this one is inclined to think that by doing a serious critique of the story, the author may have missed the point. It's a spoof. It's sole purpose (Reaver and all) is to troll you about what RPGs are traditionally about. You can't take Fable2 'a story seriously. That said, I'd love to read his opinion of Fable3!

Because it kind of addresses this. This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Jan 1 2017, 09:38 PM
