Feng seems to be having a hard time getting into his Alliance quests. Mira is enjoying hers but Feng is a bit rudderless right now. Guys, this one is afraid Feng is going to fall into a life of crime! ohmy.gif
Just the other day he was talking about maybe joining the TG or the DB.

You got the Adventure Pack, didn't you? I can't remember if you ended up getting it or not. Is Feng in a different Alliance than Mira? (and if so, which?)

Oh, since they made the One Tamriel changes, you can make your own path in the world = not worry about following any Alliance quests if you don't want to.

And once I have played Misa through every quest in all the Alliances of the game, I doubt I'll want to go through all that with any other character, will probably just want to do the quests that give skill points or great reward with the others.

So Misa was THE character to play the game with, but when it comes down to it, my other characters will probably be the ones to roleplay in the game with.

Bubba (the one that is now my crafter) - he started off being a thief; but that was a year before the DB & TG DLC came out.
No we never got the Adventurer pack, so Feng is in the AD. It's not that the AD quests are bad, far from it. Feng just isn't as focused as Mira was (although Mira maybe more focused because of the Covenant being so aggressive in the early part of the EP quest line).

Yes, the EP most def has a powerful Alliance questline in Stonefalls. It isn't as touching as AD's, but for me - I loved it. The whole Strife Brothers was a blast to do, so interesting and someone put a lot of thought into it!

Also really liked the Starved Plain quests were interesting too. They weren't riotously fun like Daggerfall and the Skyrim Nord quests, but satisfyingly fun because they were so well done.

I used up my last character slot for ANOTHER temporary mule. At least, I hope it's temporary. Maybe until my previous "temporary" mule finally gains 40 more inventory slots through horse training to take everything the other is currently holding.

I now have space in my bank and all is well.

Anyways, I really liked the EP questline, but I sort of feel like it peaked at Shadowfen. After that I felt there were some issues with the writing. (Particularly the Fort Amol quest, but explaining further involves spoilers)

AD is my fave, though it almost suffers from the same problem as EP. I wish the Khajiit sisters showed up earlier and more frequently in the questline than their Elden Grove cameo in Greenshade.

Oh, I most def agree on the issues after Shadowfen! I had problems with the ending questline resetting itself in EP - had already saved the big situation and found a quest I hadn't done that was out of order. Doing that quest reset all the in game dialogue to as if the end never happened!

There should have been some kind of built in protection that you couldn't do the quest out of order or that segment of it disappears or updates if not done timely.

Another was the weapon fragments that you are supposed to bring together - it is like a ball was dropped in the middle of that quest and it unravels suddenly with no clue as to how to complete it and all quest markers just drop suddenly - no quest to drop and retake in inventory, so it is an achievement I won't be able to get.

Also, the Nord party town quest glitched and couldn't be finished.

I reported all the issues, but I most def think there was not just a writing issue there; but a lack of follow through needed when creating questlines to protect the outcome from the chaos of players doing things out of order.

Same thing happened in Skyrim when it first came out with that Bard's College questline = it let you find the musical instruments in dungeons, but that didn't start the questline. The items were locked in your inventory because they were quest items, but had no quest. Then when the quest started, it didn't update that you had the items, and the NPC questgivers didn't recognize that you had them. You either couldn't find them a second time or having two in your inventory blocked them both from being seen. The quest couldn't be completed. It was really poor follow through on what should have been an interesting quest.

I really think it is a fault of the new script formats. Remember how simple the "If...Then; Else" of the C++ morph in Oblivion was to work with and how relatively fool proof it could be in tying up loose ends? I miss the (easy to follow) logic of it !!!!

Maybe you could use the UESP to find out where the quest markers are? This one had to do that with the plague quests in Deshaan to get the achievement.

Oh, that's not encouraging. Buffy's nearly done in Eastmarch and still waiting for the EP questline to spark any desire to help/care. I mean it is fun questing but she's seen nothing to make her care about the EP. We absolutely loved the AD questline though and Buffy became fully and emotionally invested in it.

I enjoyed the EP stuff the first time around, and Deshaan and Shadowfen are good every time we've been through them, but I agree that the Skyrim parts aren't quite as good. I blame King Jorunn.

One major problem for Haa-Rei and I is that we know the Pact won't last, and Argonians will be slaves again in a few hundred years. sad.gif

When all the dust settles, I probably will if it can be done. I do want that achievement for Misa. She worked too hard on the beginning of that questline to have it just implode halfway through.

Jerric was very engaged by the EP questline. He still checks in with his buddies when he wanders through their areas. He felt the tough choices and was personally moved by some of the things he did. One particular loss was devastating. I suspect that the things which drew Jerric the Gold Coast Nord to the cause probably are not as compelling to some others, though, especially from other cultures. For example I can't see Lildereth going out of her way for Jorunn the Skald King or High King Emeric. She grew up with very different songs and stories.

Elden Root residents, keep an eye out for a chunky blonde in flip-flops and a miniskirt, that's your new neighbor Elke. So far she likes Grahtwood a lot. She realizes that she will only get to live there while she is learning to work hide and steel, so she's making the most of it. Specifically she is making a lot of stops at the Outside Inn. tongue.gif

Well, you kind of have to try each Alliance out and then choose the one that suits you best if you want the full picture (which is what I wanted).

But the truth is, I did enjoy being the Hand of King Jorunn; and enjoyed being the Eyes of Queen Ayrenn both. (King Emeric doesn't seem to give you a title, or I missed/forgot it somehow) - that Daggerfall questline started off a lot of fun and then seemed to lose momentum toward the end, there never seemed to develop a close relationship with Emeric.

I think all three questlines suffered some lag at the end; but all three started off awesome. I think they were all good though, and mostly really well done. What problems I had with the end of the EP line may have been caused by that one quest resetting the end; maybe that caused the weapon fragment quest to glitch too - because they were connected.

I think if I had stayed on the fragmented weapon and not tried to pick up that extra quest, I may have been able to finish the achievement for the weapon. (not to say that it should have been left unprotected against that happening though).

But I do completely get why Buffy is more attuned to the Aldmeri questline - most def love Queen Ayrenn!

On King Jorunn - I liked him much better than Emeric. He seemed much more approachable and less full of himself; much more grateful for your aid. And I loved that you were a part of a unit helping him, it wasn't just you being uber.

This one created a Redguard bank character today to free up some space in the bank so Feng could go on a burglary spree. The Daggerfall quest starts off with pirates! Awesome!

It's one of the reasons Rats took so long to finally get around to helping the Pact, and that's only because she wanted to help her own kind and let them enjoy the peace while it lasted. Also she was forced to if she wanted her soul back, lol. That backfired spectacularly. At least she made plenty of Argonian and Nord friends, and even a few Dunmer friends in Kireth and her brother.

Can't say either of us really like Jorunn, though, but then the only Alliance leader I even cared for was Ayrenn, and she was aided by a ditzy shut-in who'd forget about her after it was all over. I wonder if there will ever be a quest where the Alliance leaders can be assassinated.

Bank/inventory space issues mean that a new character has had to be added to our group. Introducing Lagakha gra-Ungol, Orsimer Dragonknight.

I've actually been meaning to add her in for a while now, and she was originally a character I made in Skyrim. She's a blind priestess of Kyne, who specialises in frost and earth magic (the latter being a focus of Dragonknights).

At the moment she'll just take it easy and hold onto all the crafting motifs and whatnot while Haa-Rei and Ciri work on their crafting and clear some bank space, but I look forward to trying her out in combat some time.

Neat! It's great to meet the characters who are somewhat waiting their turn while helping out. Now I'll have a mental picture when I see Lagakha's name. smile.gif

Here is Jerric's support crew on the PC:

Elke of Green River, the Equipment Crafter. Stam Sorc. She is Jerric's cousin from Whiterun Hold.

Lleduri Indaram, Alchemist and Enchantress. Magicka Dragonknight. Lleduri did some naughty things in Skyrim (the game). If she has similar plans for One Tamriel, she's not saying.

Pog the Magnificent (not his given name). Stam Dragonknight. He who holds the stuff. Pog is not thrilled about how my laptop's graphic settings treat his body art. Pog is from Kvatch.

Sola al-Las'ah, Merchant. Stam Nightblade. This is the one who had to have the brown horse. Jerric met Sola through Rhano. Her name refers to the sting on a scorpion's tail.

Added: Oh! Elke leveled up and found a gorgeous orc-metal battleaxe right before I had to quit today. Like, two seconds before. She's still skipping with joy over those developments.

Indeed! The paint is actually a black base coat with a blue skeleton design on top. The only part of her body that isn't painted is the top of her head.

Here's another shot to show it off. She's a lot less self-conscious than Haa-Rei and Ciri. Anyone who reads my fan fic will meet Lagakha soon.

The only character I have yet to bring to PC is Trivea. I keep forgetting (don't tell her I said that).

Mira has been working to uncover the mystery behind her banishment to and subsequent release from Coldharbour. She guessed right about . She is now off to Hammerfell to find a key to getting into Sancre Tor.

Also a random person ran up to Mira wanting to "trade". She accepted and the person just gave her two trait stones for crafting and ran off. Mira saluted the person as a sign of gratitude.
