I played Morrowind at a friend's house and some years later I got Oblivion, thus starting my obsession with it. But it never occurred to me the two games belonged to the same series until a few years of Oblivion gaming. Only then I rememberd having played Morrowind and so Oblivion wasn't my first ES game after all

Ooooooh ok, lol, now Khajiit understands how you could've done that. Please excuse this one, he has a tendency to expect that everyone bought Morrowind for themselves the first time they played it, fell in love with the game, and sought out all future Elderscrolls titles based on their love of Morrowind.

The always walking speed bothers me in MW. Too used to jogging speed as the norm.

Add in the lack of fast travel - except for a few destinations - and the whole game consists of walking between places, with a few interruptions.

I've made it worse by adding companions, as they can't follow when you use Recall, or the Intervention spells. They do use the boats, silt-striders, and guild guide with the player.

I can deal with no fast travel, but that walking pace really got to me. Maybe there's a mod for that...

This one believes that there is a mod for that. Might also check the ini to see if it could be controlled from there.

Because Cain was on my case of my own, free will I plugged in my Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) console tonight and played some.


First up was the first Sonic game. Pretty much as I remember it; very colourful and speedy

Second game was Sunset Riders, my fave for the system. Got up to the final boss but since I am heavily out of practice I didn't beat him. Took way too many hits prior to him.

Then the main event; Sonic Compilation. A game I've always had but never tried. Turns out it has the first two Sonic games on it plus one called Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, a puzzle game.


Didn't know I had the second Sonic game which many consider being the best. Kinda neat

The game went straight into your collection without you even trying it out? BWAAHAA!

Yeah, pretty much. I focused on my NES and Gameboy

There is also Sonic 3, and Sonic and Knuckles.

But why does Tails follow Sonic even if you play one player?

Yeah why run around behind sonic when he could do the helicopter tails thing?


All this talk about 16bit games makes me want to go play Super Castlevania IV!

Because he's Sonic's partner, not just player 2.

But does he actually do anything? I didn't see him do anything useful, really.

Not in 2, but he's necessary in 3.

Certain levels require him hold onto Sonic and fly. You can also play as him in 3, and fly around.

Playing the For Honor closed beta. Having a blast.

They've added 3 new classes since the alpha, so each faction now has a good balance of classes to explore. The Knight's Warden is still my favourite though.

A new feature has also been added, which introduces a persistent global faction war. As you fight in regular multiplayer matches (both PvP and PvAI) you will earn war assets for your faction which can then be assigned to a region of the world map. At the end of every turn (6 hours) the assets of each border region will be tallied and whichever faction has the most assets will claim that region.

It's really cool to see the frontlines shifting as you fight, and trying to figure out where other players might be putting their assets. Each faction has a stronghold on the map, and I'm curious to see what happens if the stronghold falls - I might find out soon since the Samurai are only two regions away from the Knight stronghold.
