QUOTE(mALX @ Feb 3 2017, 01:45 PM) Well, unless you are crafting for other people who happen to want Imperial, it won't matter. I used to craft for other people, and several liked Misa's bow and wanted one like it. She couldn't make it for them till I bought her the Imperial motif. When I found that Imperial motif in the dungeon = should have given it to Bubba, since he had become my main crafter by then (but it was too tempting to sell it; and I needed the funds).
Well, Khajiit doesn't really plan on making stuff for other people, but then, you never know when something might come up.

Well, Khajiit doesn't really plan on making stuff for other people, but then, you never know when something might come up. For any of your own characters, as long as you have paid for the Imperial Edition, you can right click on any armor or weapon and convert it to Imperial style. (but once you have done that, it can't be used by anyone but your characters - it becomes bound to your account). This post has been edited by mALX: Feb 3 2017, 09:14 PM

Yeah, Mira does that convert thing for a lot of found gear if it is something better than her current gear and is a style that doesn't suit her taste. It's pretty handy! This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Feb 3 2017, 09:29 PM

QUOTE(Acadian @ Feb 3 2017, 02:36 PM) I agree. The Imperial style looks pretty good - or at least not ugly. My only complaint with that ability to change gear to Imp is that it doesn't work for dropped 'set' items. There you are stuck with whatever it comes as.
Yeah that would be nice to convert sets too. This one guesses it's because the sets are specific to province so therefore have to be of the provinces' racial styles?

Does it usually show people's guild affiliation over their heads? Khajiit hasn't noticed this.

Well this one would guess its in the social part of the settings (perhaps nameplates?). He'll look when he logs on tonight.

That may only be in Cyrodiil in PvP if they do it at all. The only thing I've seen above people's heads is their title that they choose to display. (like "Executioner," or "Fighters Guild Victor," etc. Those are earned through getting achievements). If they allow Guild names, I don't know about it. We just always wear our Tabbards to show our Guild. Like in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/vkDECkP.pngThis post has been edited by mALX: Feb 7 2017, 03:48 AM

QUOTE(Grits @ Feb 18 2017, 08:31 AM) I saw in zone chat people talking about using the Homestead houses for fast farming. They pillage an area, free-travel to someone else’s house, and log out. When they log back in they are in the place they left, which has respawned for them to pillage again. I have not tried this, but it sounds like it would work.
Right away the person who gave the tip started complaining that someone else was doing this in the building he was farming. Lol.
Ugh, Khajiit saw a guy calling people a "bunch of newbs" taking all his material nodes and chests in Bal Foyen. Well what do you expect guy? It's basically a starter zone! Some people, smh

Like the nodes belonged to him and no one else in the game? QUOTE(hazmick @ Feb 25 2017, 06:18 PM) Bal Foyen's pretty good for mats when there aren't many people online. Once you get from one end to the other, everything's spawned again. People spend ages running around in circles collecting everything.
Haa-Rei does one circuit a day. Starting from home we run down to the beach, then to the fort, and then to the wayshrine back in the village. We have a huge stockpile of Ruby Ash and Ancestor Silk so we don't really need to farm for those. It's all about Heartwood these days.
Yes, I have over a thousand of the mats, but 2 Heartwood and 0 Regulus,

So just in case anyone (like me) was still uncertain about how the Master Writs work, I found a quote from Jessica Folsom on the forums that confirms a few things about their droprate. Those being: - Only full motifs count for Equipment Writ drops. No partial chapters. (Which sucks cause I spent 75 vouchers to get the Ebony woodworking motifs on Hates) This explains why the drop rate for writs on the squad has been more or less the same.
- Only Purple and Gold provisioning recipes increase drops for Master Provisioning Writs
- Research seems to be far more important if it's a minor crafter or they focus on a single craft, as research and motif knowledge is "weighted very similarly". Meaning that it's much cheaper to learn several traits than buy a full motif. Again, explains my results.
- Alchemy and Enchanting is based on discovered runes/effects, making them the easiest to get a max droprate.
Guess I'm researching past 6 traits on crafts each squad member isn't focused on! Good thing I have 2 Nirnhoned pieces of armor from the Craglorn questline. (Okay, so maybe I'm not going all 9 traits on everything, since I'll most likely have everything I want by the time I finish research on that. I'm still going to do a bit more trait research than intended, though.) This post has been edited by monkeyemoness: Mar 3 2017, 07:39 PM
