Oh yeah? Anything specific you are interested in/hoping to be revealed? Also, for future reference, the music thread: http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4153

QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Jun 12 2017, 08:57 AM) So, does anyone else think this "Creation Club" sounds suspiciously like paid mods again?
Three posts up. That's exactly what it is. They make the mods, you buy credits, you download mods with said credits. Now, whether or not they will still have other ways of getting free mods, remains to be seen. Khajiit is guessing Nexus will still be up, but you will have the option of paying for these "official mods", which look to provide the same kind of stuff free mods always have. Found this article on the "Creation Club". This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jun 12 2017, 03:14 PM

Yes, it's certainly troubling for the future games they haven't released yet. Will this "Creation Club" be the only way to get mods for future titles or will we still have the option of getting unofficial mods from "amateurs"? Will they restrict access to the creation kits by not allowing everyone to download it for free or will they start charging for that too (or outright disallow it)? Definitely seems like they are trying to find a way to profit from modding, but Khajiit has to wonder, would it even be worth it to them? These "Creation Club" mods will be made by people who have to be paid by Bethesda. Unless they have enslaved a bunch of coders and chained them to workstations deep in the bowels of their Maryland hq. *One Beth employee sits on a bench in front of a drum, repetitively banging it in a steady beat while another Beth employee shouts: "CODE! With a twist. They're hoping to turn people into the software-developing equivalent of Uber drivers. Underpaid, non-employees who provide extra profit to their slave-masters. What should be absent this time is the incentive to steal IP, assuming their curation process is thorough enough, and Bethesda do the QA they promise. However, there will still be controversy about the use of "free" resources in paid mods, which is likely to result in the middle tier stuff being more restricted than the base game material. I hope that doesn't result in Bethesda adding restrictions to the CK for non-commercial users in response to their tame/slave providers.

I'd bet there'd be a setup for getting voice acting into the mods as well. As for whether or not it would be worth it, that depends what they do with it. They might just stop producing DLC and expansions for their games, instead letting modders handle additional content to reduce costs. Or they could go off the deep end and start turning out something like Minecraft, and letting you buy mods to build the game as you like. And there's always the question of how much these modders would actually be paid.

There's another thought that crosses my mind after seeing the announcement.
This may also be the way that Bethesda gets mods with resources onto PS4. The addition of Bethesda curation (i.e QA) of the mods may have been what Sony really wanted. In that case, treat it as a PS4-only thing, and it's not so bad.
