QUOTE(hazmick @ Jun 20 2017, 09:58 PM) Yep, pretty much. Pick up a cool set item that looks gross? Change it into a style that you like!
At least, that's how I imagine it'll work if it's called transmogrification. Other games have different methods of doing similar things.
Do you think this would work for keeping the looks of the lower tiered racial gear for use on high tiered gear? Like how iron weapons look more battle worn than, say, Ebon?

QUOTE(hazmick @ Jun 21 2017, 07:15 AM) Now that is something I hadn't considered. I'd love that to be the case, and (depending on how transmog will work) I suppose it could be done, but I'd be surprised if Zenimax went that far with the system.
Yeah it would be a bit more involved. You'd have to give people two choices for each piece of gear in each Motif: Imperial Rubedite Cuirass of Awesomeness--- Argonian Rubedite Cuirass of Awesomeness Style 1 or Argo Cuirass of Awesomeness Style 2 And this is not even taking into account that pretty much everything below the 4th tier material gear has its own unique look. Iron looks slightly different than Steel, Orichalcic looks closer to Dwarven but still different. This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jun 21 2017, 03:40 PM

This is exactly what I was wondering!!! I LOVE the looks of the low level racial gear! Can't understand why it got so ugly as your levels went up! I mean, I think Bosmer armor should not have changed drastically in looks every 10 levels. Same with Argonian armor, although at least the Argonian armor still looked appealing in the higher levels.

On the Argonian armor, Khajiit really likes the minimalist nature of the low level medium Argo armor (same for Bosmer really). Why they changed it so drastically for the higher levels is beyond this one's comprehension.

I kind of like those spider bots! Can't help but smile seeing them skittering by with those legs moving so fast! And the way the player sits looks like Jockeys on race horses, lol. Oh don't mind Khajiit. Sometimes he takes things too seriously, lol

Being able to use the old styles was one of the reasons I really wanted this. Then again, only the classic armor designs of the ten races has different variants based on level so I don't think we're going to get it. Here's hoping, though! I agree that some of them go from great to ugly by the time they reach Dwarven/Spidersilk/Full Leather. I'd like to have a set of Rubedite Breton armor in the Steel Style for the body and an Orcish style helmet, for example. (Maybe, I gotta see how that looks) Also unlock the Lion Shield design for Hickory/Yew Breton Shields. Why isn't it available in-game? Why does it reuse the Beech style?Anyways, looks like I'm saving my crowns again. Nothing in this season of Crown Crates looks appealing enough to buy them. I did notice they're throwing motifs into the pot now. Interesting. Call me back when the Chef/Blacksmith outfits I missed out on come back. :V (And the argonian fins and the buzz cut)

This is my fondest hope for the transmog system. Transfer the appearance of any item to another item in the same slot. Best case we could even use the appearance of clothing items. Hopefully it will not require some Crown-only or Crown Gem-only token. Ooh, clothing! I never thought of that!
