QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Jun 25 2017, 06:40 PM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Jun 25 2017, 06:23 PM) Awwww look at the lil' pooch!
He's part lab and part Australian Shepard. I named him Cloud and so far my other dogs (even my other male Bubbie) don't seem to mind the new addition. It always good when everyone gets along!

Because as a concept, I can't help thinking of it as something along the lines of a thoroughly blitzed Khajiit, reclining on a pile of cushions, saying "Our sugar is yours, friend" Heehee, I need more sleep

Or the look on a Khajiit's face when you spin the dial on the persuasion mini game to one of their very favored responses? It's a lot like those examples, with perhaps a touch of that blitzed-ness that you mentioned

QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Jun 26 2017, 09:49 AM) Heheh, you've just named two things I've not done in a long time: visit the Shivering Isles and used Oblivion's persuasion minigame Khajiit loved The Shivering Ilses, the mini game, not so much. SI was probably this ones favorite part of TESIV. Always didn't like how you had to metagame what side you picked if you wanted to get the armor that best suited your character. Like if you were a heavy armor warrior, you needed to pick Dementia so you could get the Auriel armor and if you were a light armor type you had to pick Mania. Seems to this one, both sets of armor could've been given as rewards during the mainquest at some point.

My recollection was that neither had stats that made them worth using, and you'd only want them for the looks. You did better making Amber or Madness equipment to use. But the same applied to a lot of the SI expansion. You had a lot of choices that locked out the opposite, perhaps to make you play through at least twice?

QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Jun 26 2017, 02:39 PM) Heh, for me there's really only one armour in the Shivering Isles. Amber. Love that stuff. Did like the Golden Saint swords though, they were pretty funky. Oh yeah, they may not have been the most damaging, but man they were attractive! By the time you enchanted one it would still own pretty much anything you came up against too, so still a good choice.

The lovely Blossom wanted a golden axe to go with her outfit, so we had to do a special trip there to fetch one. That's when we discovered that the Aureals stop using them at a level where you can't get past the Gatekeeper to go fetch one. I think I ended up using the console for hers. All the Aureals you see are using swords. There aren't any in the Fringe, and you can't easily get beyond the fringe without raising your level past the point where you'd see a mace or axe in use (8 or below). The opposite applies to the Mazken. Below 8 they are using swords, but the only one you'll ever see is Nelrene's (which she isn't using).
