QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Sep 13 2017, 06:41 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Sep 13 2017, 12:24 PM) Yeah. Spent 45 minutes earlier trying to get my guy to look right, kept coming out looking like someone from an action film . One attempt even had some resemblance to Gerard Butler in 300 Khajiit would suggest starting with the older dark haired, bearded Druid/Necromancer looking dude and then clean him up a bit. Make the beard neater, give him a cleaner haircut, take away all the dirt and eye black, set his weight to perhaps a notch or two above the skinniest setting, and make his facial features less pronounced. For clothing, Skyrim has some robes that look like they are more geared for adventurers and if you wear heavy armor boots and gauntlets it'll give you a nice battlemage look (a battlemage/paladin group called the Vigilants of Stendar wear this setup). The way gear looks isn't the problem(I greatly prefer Skyrim to Oblivion in this regard), it's the face. Between the structure and the skin texture, it's impossible to make him look right. I was trying to bring in a recurring character of mine from Oblivion, Gideon Draconis. He's a something of a mild-mannered academic, far more mage than warrior, but got into mercenary work to cover the costs of his research. Couldn't get anywhere near how he was supposed to look. I think I'll go for Endar Verano. I've had a couple of Dunmer characters I've tried that came out similar to how he should look.

Lol, it's funny to Khajiit you can't make a character look right with Skyrim but you could with Oblivion. Oblivion's character creator is terrible!

Lol, it's funny to Khajiit you can't make a character look right with Skyrim but you could with Oblivion. Oblivion's character creator is terrible! If you know what you're doing, you can actually make some pretty good faces in Oblivion. And I had a lot of practice with Oblivion. And, while Skyrim gives you a few additions, Oblivion gave you a lot more flexibility to adjust the faces. Not the best quality pics, as I had to take a photo of my tv with my phone, but some of my past characters: Pic1Pic2Pic3 (damn, this one's oldPic4Not brilliant, but not exactly potato faces either This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Sep 13 2017, 10:45 PM

Much as I like my recent OCOv2 faces, and I like them quite a lot, I feel my second play-through avatar, who is as of now vanilla rather than OCO, comes a bit closer to what I was trying to achieve than do any of my OCO faces. (This won't stop me from using OCOv2 from now on.)

Do you use mods for that? Nope, Xbox 360. That's why I had to take a picture of the screen. When you get through as many characters as I have(I never was good at playing dead is dead), and can easily spend thirty minutes or so on getting the face right, you get a feel for the sliders.

That's damn incredible! Khajiit never did "get a feel for the sliders". You move something here, something over there moves.

Heh, I actually wrote a kind of mini guide for Oblivion's face gen a couple of years back. There are a couple of tricks to getting it to work properly, and it does take a fair few tries to learn which sliders you don't really need to move. But once you get the hang of it, you can get it to cooperate. This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Sep 14 2017, 12:22 AM

The characters were passable but never very "good looking". This one much prefers the look (for the most part) and feel of Skyrim's characters. Minus the weird "grid" thing which luckily isn't as noticeable during gameplay.

It was an absolute travesty that Bethesda casualized the series by getting rid of pixelated breasts and completely naked women. Now how am I supposed to get immersed in these games? Thanks, Bethesda!

It might not have the stopping power like a 500 or .45ACP has but hit someone in the right spot with this gun could cripple them something bad.

Probably a .22 Magnum I could see piecing an alligator's skin.
