QUOTE(Grits @ Oct 22 2017, 10:34 PM) QUOTE(SubRosa @ Oct 21 2017, 09:28 PM) QUOTE(Grits @ Oct 21 2017, 08:16 PM) Yay Witches Festival!
I could not have put it better... I am looking forward to global writ turn-in so very much. Now Lleduri will be able to truly dwell in Mournhold. The new crew members will remain in Vulkhel Guard until they’ve finished Legerdemain, but I’m curious where the others will settle. Lildereth never furnished Snugpod because she had to hop back to VG every day. She loves Grahtwood and magnificent Elden Root, but I suspect that some day she will make a camp-home in one of the pod dwellings that has an exterior area. Elke loathes Belkarth because it is rude, hot, and crowded. She will be delighted to wipe the last of its dust from her sandals. Pog loves his cottage in Daggerfall, but he’s never there because his job has been in Craglorn. Best of all, Jerric will be able to pick up some work wherever he roams. This is a massive quality of life improvement. Really happy with it! Oh, G, Brenna told Khajiit to tell you she's sorry Jer got killed helping her with that Lurcher World Boss.

QUOTE(monkeyemoness @ Oct 23 2017, 04:27 PM) The usual 4, tbh.
Anyways, I love how wood and cloth nodes in the zone are just. Just flipping piles of trash. You salvage cloth and wood but still get the usual stuff from nodes. bless
Yes, I saw a wagon wheel that let me chop it up for wood nodes! I loved that! And OMG is it ever loaded up with skill points! I got a skill point for every single leg of the main quest! EVERY SINGLE LEG !!!! Not to mention the two skill points for the 6 skyshards! This post has been edited by mALX: Oct 23 2017, 09:48 PM

Khajiit felt like such a frickin' idiot today. Until today, he was having Brenna cast an area effect healing spell that he thought was aim, cast, and it does its thing. Nope. Today this one discovered that Brenna has to aim it, cast, then hit the cast button again to make it heal. Doh!

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Oct 22 2017, 10:58 PM) One of the biggest surprises for Khajiit about ESO locations was how much he likes Shadowfen in Black Marsh! They did a good job with it! Makes this one wish there were more Black Marsh areas.
Tell me about it! I can only visit a small portion of my homeland! I hope to one day be able to visit Cincinnatus's home city.

Hmm, that sounds like the setting on casting ground spells. By default you have click to aim (drop the yellow circle on the ground), then click again to confirm/cast. There is a setting to make it one click. Works much better for Buffy. Well after reading the description, it does actually heal after 6 seconds but you can hit cast again to make it heal then and there. Working pretty good now.

So after ending today's session, Brenna is sitting on 71 plunder skulls earned. She's discovered that she loves sitting back and providing healing for folks who are getting attacked by bosses (and she still gets credit for the boss battle for plunder skulls! Bonus!). Mira has learned all but axes and chests for the Hollowjack motif achievement then we'll work on getting Brenna versed in Hollowjack too so she can get the title (not that she does any crafting; she just wants the title lol).
Also, we aren't sure if it's just us, but we've noticed a shortage of good tank players. Seems like almost every world boss fight we are in, inevitably the boss starts to go for the weaker players instead of being held by a higher level tank player. Even poor Brenna had to scramble a few times when all she was doing was casting her healing spell on people.

Khajiit, I know exactly what you mean. Buffy loves to hang out at WB's and help others. I mean, she can solo most of them but much prefers to pit her healing against the boss's damage. Too many times, half a dozen players jump a boss and none of them go toe-to-toe! That makes the boss go rogue and run after all of them, changing his mind every few seconds. And that makes trying to drop any AoE damage on him impossible.
When there are no tanks or even melee types, Buffy will grab the boss by the nose, drop her protective auras, sweep him with her spears of light and hold him in one place. Her ability to focus on/heal others goes to pooh but, since she is, more or less, tanking, no one else really needs her healing ('cept her!). Anyway, not what she prefers to do but it does work by holding the boss in one spot and keeping him away from the squishy bow and staff plinkers.
She's not about to go 'real tank' and do taunting and such. She's coached a few newer ranged players that when the boss comes after them, don't run away; rather, lead the boss back to whoever is trying to hold him in position and willing to face smack him. She's had a couple archers run from the boss so far that the boss resets his health to full and trots back to his starting point. That can be frustrating!

Fortunately I've not had that happen to me, Acadian
Maz and I are feeling confident enough to go up against certain World Bosses solo since she got the five pieces of Thunderbug. Melee attacks trigger the proc, so those bosses that hit rather than cast are good targets for her.
Since Friday she's gone against the Kwama Champion twice, the Brood Mother (dreugh queen in Stonewalls) once, and the blue crab once.
The Brood Mother was an interesting fight. Here was my CP 500+ Champion and some level 21 player going up against this monster. And Maz had to resort to her healing staff early in the fight (she prefers her zweihander - better for anger management therapy) and repeatedly cast healing AOE's for both of them. However, though she died once, and the other player died twice, the two of them was able to keep the Brood Mother occupied until we finished her off. That was when Maz discovered that two of the abilities on her back bar act similarly to taunting in that they draw the boss to her. With her Thunderbug gear, she came as close to being a true tank as she's ever been, yet still was able to inflict serious damage. It was an awesome fight, and one she recalls with a great deal of tusk-baring pride.

Buffy is an Elf of many talents! Khajiit has ran into the problem of somebody running out of the combat zone. We were fighting Salazar the Wolf and his lieutenants in Glenumbra and Salazar went running after a low level person who in turn ran all the way to the nearby dolmen. Salazar reset. Many people died.

Part of the Boss's AI package for combat is to go after Healers (probably because they have high spell crit on their healing spells; and the Boss is programmed to go after the one casting the highest crit). That is why Tanks HAVE to use the taunt, to force the Boss to ignore its own AI package. QUOTE(haute ecole rider @ Oct 24 2017, 06:03 PM) Fortunately I've not had that happen to me, Acadian

That Thunderbug set is one of my top two favorite sets in the game! Lol, that damn Lt. Bran! He killed Brenna like 5 times during one fight and he always seems to be the one most likely to come after her. Probably because everyone is focused on Salazar since he is technically the boss. Or maybe it's because their names mean the same, lol
