QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 16 2017, 04:50 AM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 16 2017, 02:47 AM) So what’s up with the bloodfiends that give you the vampire disease? Khajiit has read they only spawn in Bangkorai, Reapers March, and The Rift, at night time. Couldn’t find anything that said where exactly they spawn at in those zones though. This one is assuming they spawn in particular areas within the three zones, yes?

Yeah but then you read about how they may or may not spawn only on certain nights, and then other players will kill them to monopolize the sale of bites. Most people will give you a bite for free; but I do suggest doing the quest anyway. If we don't have a vampire in our guild willing to bite you, I'll check with a few of my vampy friends, lol.

So how severe are the downsides to vampirism in ESO? In Daggerfall, it was a real pain trying to shop, as the shops were open in daylight only, and vampires took sun damage when that happened. Morrowind and Oblivion were much the same, although there were a few locations you could access without going outside in daylight.
Skyrim seems to have nerfed the sunlight issue, as you're weakened, but not killed, and get other perks in return, but there the Vampire Lord seems to be the focus, and that's a total transformation from regular play, replacing your character with a pre-built one.
I'd expect ESO at least to have a different approach to vampire/NPC reactions, or vampire characters would have problems cooperating with non-vamps.

Khajiit was really just curious about how vampirism occurs naturally in the game. Last night this one was wandering around Bangkorai and stumbled across a player turning another player. Felt like Khajiit was intruding on something intimate, lol

Unfortunately; Vampirism in ESO doesn't force you to "live" as a vampire = grrrr (example: only going out at night - instead has been changed to increased strength at night but no down side to daytime travel = grrrr. Another example is not being shunned by vendors/quest-givers/etc when vampirism is high - NPC's don't notice or care even when you are pink-eyed and wrinkled in the high stages! Grrrrrr). In other words, they nerfed it to appease the masses instead of making it for roleplay; so being a vampire isn't a crime (but at least feeding IS a crime if you are caught; thank goodness they left that in). Cons: Lower health regen and increased fire damage are the two major down falls of being a vampire (other than getting fugglier than hell with each stage). Pros: Increased magicka and stamina recovery and damage reduction at low health; increased strength in the nighttime hours; and two ultimate abilities. Yes, exactly. And when one of your CP characters earns a CP point, all of them get it. Edit: Oops, slower than mALX! This post has been edited by Acadian: Nov 23 2017, 06:29 PM

Exactly right. Of course, they already have access to her Champion Points now. QUOTE(Acadian @ Nov 23 2017, 11:28 AM) QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 23 2017, 09:17 AM) So when Brenna or Feng reaches lvl50, they will immediately hop to whatever lvl Mira is? Is that how champion characters work?

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Dec 3 2017, 04:58 PM) So which motif is harder to get, Akaviri or Yokudan? From what Khajiit has read it looks like Akaviri is harder to get.
Both are harder to get, All I know is, both are outrageously expensive per piece for motifs.

QUOTE(monkeyemoness @ Dec 3 2017, 04:09 PM) Annoying Droprate (Yokudan) vs Bought with Alliance Points (Akaviri)
The harder one probably depends on your playstyle. I you got a bunch of AP and regularly get it, then Yokudan will be harder, but if you don't PvP at all then Akaviri will be harder (and it also used to be a lot more expensive to get in guild stores).
Yokudan had an infuriatingly low droprate, with only a limited amount of shots at because you get it from dailies, and about half of them practically require a group or take a really long time. (I did the quests around the Valley of Scars to get them tbh, since they could be done solo easily)
Thank you for the information. This has really helped Khajiit’s decision.

*mALX weeps into hanky, remembering how many times she was slaughtered picking up that survey that drops in the VoS.*
