Khajiit has an experiment in mind but needs help from his Guildies! Turns out that this one needs Medium armor chest, legs, and shoulders all with the Divines trait. If one of you guys would mind sending rawhide versions of these to him, Khajiit would be most appreciative.

Also, how do you get Nirnhoned items?

Divines: You mean for research or to test out on a character? If on a character; what level should we make it?

On the Nirnhoned items: The most cost effective way to do it is to farm the Nirncrux yourself; and hand the Nirncrux stones to a friend (like me) who can make the items you need = just tell them which items to make.

Otherwise you can buy the Nirncrux from Guild Traders. If you are buying the stones from a guild trader anyway, it is almost the exact same cost to just go ahead and buy the items you need from them instead of just buying the stones. Most people just charge the cost of the Nirncrux for the research items anyway.

Right now the market price on them is under 5,000 per each for the Nirnhoned armor pieces for research; or over 15,000 for weapons.

Thanks for the info on Nirnhoned items. Where do you find Nirncrux? Khajiit has never seen this around.

For the divines gear, it’s for research purposes so just the base level rawhide will work.

I just installed the discord app. No clue how to use it yet, but I imagine I'll figure it out. It appears to use a non-WIndows style, presumably more familiar for smartphone users, which I'm not.

This one downloaded it on his PC but couldn’t figure out how to make the interface overlay with the game.

The Overlay feature doesn't work well with ESO, not sure why (but DOES work in all other games out there; so go figure!)

You can actually find it randomly on any of the "equipment" nodes in Craglorn. (Wood, Cloth, Metal nodes; and that includes animals that drop leather like Welva). The Potent Nirncrux is VERY rare; the Fortified is more readily found, but still rare enough that you can sometimes farm for days without getting a single one of either. They can (and do) show up in Surveys; so always do your Craglorn Surveys.

I usually farm Upper Craglorn for one hour per day for materials to do my Writs with. The competition for nodes up there is VERY tough; people are wearing Jailbreaker armor and using "Rapid Maneuver" to beat other people to the nodes.

(So be prepared and if someone is dogging you and taking nodes = turn around and go in the opposite direction they are - or better yet; go back to a wayshrine and restart your loop at a different place to put yourself across from them on the map so you don't keep losing nodes).

To type messages on it; double-click on the "General" tab under "Text Channels" so your avatar shows up under it.

If you have a headset with a microphone and want to talk and hear other members talking; click on the "General" tab under "Voice Channels" (so your avatar shows up under it) when someone else is in there. (So far Acadian and I have been the only ones actually talking on it; King Coin doesn't have a microphone, but if he is in there he can hear the conversations and will type his answers in the "In-game chat box."

You can also make a private "phone call" to any other member by right clicking on their name or avatar and choosing the "Call" option. When in a private call, no one else can hear your conversation; though you may be able to hear them talking if they are on your "Friend List." If that happens and they are talking over your conversation; you can right click on their name and adjust the volume of their talking; mute them; etc.

The main reason I use Discord is because it offers the text-to-speech feature that really helps mALX.

We’ve had conversations where I type to her in the Discord text channel, and she answers me back in game. I’m told it really helps her a great deal.

Of course, I’m unable to benefit from the Voice channels, being deaf and all, so Discord atm is merely there for mALX’s benefit rather than mine. But I have it set up on my iPad (which has its own keyboard) and that’s set up on the desk just in front of my computer monitor, so I see when someone is typing Discord. On my iPad, it’s set to notify me when someone is using it - even when it is asleep it will wake up and show me the notification. I really like that feature.

Another thing I like about Discord is that I can keep in touch with other players even when off line, as when ghastley and I had a brief conversation this morning while I was having breakfast.

My favorite thing about Discord? It shows when someone is typing, so I know to wait for their reply. Wish the in game chat could do that . . . Especially in whisper, group and guild chat . . .

I started to mention this, but didn't want to overload Ghastley right off the bat = but absolutely this has been a huge help to me! I have my Discord set so that (when I have it active) it will read aloud all text typed in the channels; so I can finally keep up with the conversations for our group events; or like the other day when Haute and I were just chatting with each other. It made such a huge difference; I could hear what she was saying and just type my responses to Haute into the In-game chat box.

If I am not online, it will send me an email that lets me know if I've missed any text conversations while I was away. (It does not let you know if you missed any voice conversations though).
