I started using Ash Pile Expiration. It comes in multiple versions, depending on how long you want ash piles to stick around. I am using the 1 hour version, and so far so good, ash piles vanish after waiting for an hour.
I discovered that copying forward the texture files from A Clearer World Map (with Roads) to SE works fine. I didn't bother removing the clouds, as they're not thick enough to annoy. I don't know if that has been re-issued for SE yet. A search failed to find it on Nexus. There is a mod that kills the fog in map view, which I may try.

Mods for The Elder Scrolls single-player games, and I play ESO.
Animations - awesome mod, just don't go drinking potions in the heat of a battle.
Smooth faces for ladies and gents - my personal favorite mod when it comes to faces. Compatible with several body replacers (patches are available to d/l as optional), neckseams are almost gone.

Block Without Shield is an interesting mod. It gives you a ring that basically acts as an invisible shield. I tried it out today with an unarmed fighter. You cannot block in unarmed combat. But this gives you the option to do so, as the game thinks it is a shield. I eventually opted out of using it, but not because of this mod. It is just that unarmed combat in Skyrim is so lackluster. Even with mods to improve it.
Living takes time - makes time pass when browsing inventory, journal, map, browsing in shops etc. Highly customizable, so you get to decide how much time passes.

Timing is Everything is a neat mod that allows you to change when some quests start, like the Dragonborn Cultists attacking you, or random dragon attacks, or random Dawnguard vampire attacks, and the like. It requires all the DLC and SkyUI. I have already found other mods and console commands that do individual bits and pieces of these things. But never all together in one package.

I love this mod. It's so nice to be able to deal with those things through one mod.

I will probably start using it instead of the other mods. Since I have Dragonborn, and I am actually doing the vanilla main quest, I am being attacked by Miraak's Cultists constantly. It seems like once a day. It has really gotten annoying. I don't see any mods or console commands to reduce the frequency of these attacks, except Timing is Everything.

I have been using Raven Rock Expanded for several days now. It adds more buildings, merchants, and NPCs in general to Raven Rock. I highly recommend it. It makes the place feel a lot more like a real settlement. Plus the extra merchants really help with unloading all that good Dragonborn loot.

I can't tell you how many merchants I've added into Vyvoor's game, and potentially other games which follow. Especially in the smaller villages like Morthal, where they only have an alchemist but not a general trader or a smith? Come on, now. Let's change that.
