Wonderful news!! I am so glad you're doing better mALX. You had us all worried! Thank you Acadian for keeping us updated too!

This is the best news I've heard in a long time.

--------------------
And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed.
I long for scenes where man hath never trod
A place where woman never smiled or wept
There to abide with my Creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept,
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie
The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

As mALX knows quite well, I have been so happy to see her name pop up in my chat box more and more often while I am playing ESO. It's wonderful to hear that she is feeling better, and that she is almost back to her normal activity in the game.

On another note, some of you may already know that I finally got my new computer, to replace my aging Beast. The Beast is 10 years old, and is starting to have trouble maintaining network connections (both WiFi and Ethernet). So I spent part of my income tax refund on a very nice new 'puter with a 5K display. However, I won't be running it at 5K, since it makes the text [size=1]extremely tiny[size=1] and nearly illegible for my old eyes.

I did not restore the new 'puter to a back up of the old one, as that has files and applications going back to 2005 which will not run on a modern computer (some are inherited from a previous computer).

I've been enjoying ESO on the new computer at Ultra High settings, so it's fun. But today I'm feeling sluggish due to allergies (damn trees are popping their buds). So I figured I'd work on getting some of my files moved off the old Beast onto an external hard drive preparatory to transferring them to the new computer.

Oh, and I named the new computer Wyoming Knott. Wonder if anyone gets the reference?

Ok, guys. This is a big one so I'll wait till you all are sitting down.

*waits*

-Everyone is sitting down? Ok, lets get this out then.

After much consideration and thought, pondering about precious memories and current status, weighing pros and cons, I have decided that after this Friday, I will

I know, I didn't come to this conclusion easily.

I've noticed how each time I'm about to go for a ride, it's more of a hassle than joy. Every time I can't wait to get out of the armor and into my car and listen to some music. After 17 years of riding motorcycles, it's just not fun anymore. I have to face the truth. Much better then to pass my current bike on to someone who can enjoy it again as I did when I had just gotten it.

Also, by selling it I get some cash and it means I can get rid of the rental garage I have for storing it. Also also, we don't have a bike dealership closeby which makes getting service, new tires and gear a pain in my wings. So you see, many things have added up to this.

It's been a good bike with very little trouble so I will remember it fondly.

There's some chicken-counting going on.

I expect 'rocu won't be happy with the offers he gets, and will decide to keep it after all.

Unless someone offers him a bigger excavator in exchange. biggrin.gif

Well Khajiit is sorry it came to this ‘Rocu. Often in life we find ourselves weighing things we loved doing with how much of a hassle they can be and decide is not worth continuing. Nothing wrong with it, it’s just life.

I guess at age 99, giving up the motorcycle is feasible, laugh.gif

I think Khajiit nailed it. I loved riding foe sho, but not so much today. If I ever want a bike again it would be something smaller like a 350cc that is easier to play around with. But that won't happen anytime soon. Biggest issue is I don't have anywhere to ride; I've ridden all the roads in my area and it's just not fun anymore.
