Hands down the best part of the Movie was Enfys Nest and That Other Guy . Definitely go watch it; it ain’t as bad as people make it out to be (though it still isn’t as great as they think it is).

Is the Nest guy the dude in the mask? Yah man. I don’t wanna spoil anything but Enfys? is such a combat badass that I’m willing to bet $1 on him winning a melee-only fight against low level Jedi Padawans/Knights and certain Imperial Inquisitors from the Rebels show (Seventh Sister and Eighth Brother, possibly against the Fifth Brother too). He’s more destructive than Chirrut Imwe with a staff if you ask me. Hmm... Chirrut vs Enfys... Now that’s a good match up!

I don’t think so, nope. I like the design though; combines tribal with hi-tech that we usually don’t see much.

Khajiit is a fan of it, whatever it is, lol Kind of reminds this one of that cool helmet in Fallout: New Vegas DLC Honest Hearts. The one the White Legs tribal leader wears. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Salt-Upon-Wounds%27_helmetThis post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jun 1 2018, 03:09 AM

Honestly the new designs Solo introduced were just waaaaaay too god. Especially those Mimban mudtroopers. Reminds me of the grunts of the Imperial Army back in the EU.

I just got back from seeing Solo and I LOVED IT also love the shout out to Masters of Teras Kasi. Nice one Ron Howard lol . I love the guy who played Young Han and Glover did an excellent job as Lando. Oh and L3 gets some loving's too, I thought she was hysterical. I saw it after all as well. It was good. Not great, but a solid Star Wars film.
Reaper, besides the video game, Teras Kasi has been in a lot of the EU books. It was Darth Maul's fighting style (well, one of them at least). Vos taught it to Q'ira. I wonder who taught Vos...
I liked L337 (LeeT!) She looked like the astromech from the KOTOR games, given a bipedal body. I wonder if that just an accident, or if they intentionally borrowed the head from the games? She was a lot of fun.
But she was also kind of sad. She is literally the first time in a Star Wars film that it was acknowledged that droids are slaves. While most droids are literally unthinking machines, we do know that some are much more than that, such as Artoo, Threepio, etc... They have personalities, feelings, thoughts of their own, agency of their own, etc... They are people, just made of metal rather than flesh. In the EU books, there are even droids who have been legally emancipated, having the same rights as any sentient.
But they do nothing with this long-time coming acknowledgment that droids are slaves. It is treated as a few tossed off lines and ignored by all the other characters. At best it is a joke. Which is rather sad when you consider the main movies are about a rebellion fighting against a dictatorial empire that enslaves entire worlds. I think it would have been better to not have touched upon the idea of droid freedom at all, rather than to have brought it up and then ignored it.
I was also little disappointed in one thing Lando did. But I could be wrong about that.

He probably never cheated after getting caught and went on to use his charm to get what he wants after losing his ship. I don't know why this film is considered a bomb but as far as a Star Wars movie go like you said it was a solid movie with a good plot and exciting action. I think some so-called fans are just sore cause the universe they want no longer exist and the one that's getting made is doing well for itself. I like strong women in main roles, I didn't care that L337 was a Droid Lives Matter activist, she was great for her part just like Rei is okay for her part. I will say the next Star Wars entry is going to be awkward since Carrie Fishier passed away and the writers killed off Luke to soon, we're just going to have to sit back and see what's in store in the next SW film.

In the three Lando books from 1980 or so he did not much like being a starship captain. It was too much work with repairs, fuel costs, docking fees, etc... He wasn't really sorry to lose the Falcon to Han. He preferred riding on a luxury liner and living in style, and fleecing wealthy tourists at the sabacc tables while he was at it. But then of course in the later books he did get another ship - The Lady Luck. Which I always thought was a cool ship. In any case, Lando was a lot of fun. Donald Glover really made that role his own. I also like that at the very end, Han fired... well, you know.

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Jun 5 2018, 10:36 AM) Man Khajiit wants a Star Wars western style movie. Clone Wars has this great episode where Ahsoka, Obi Wan, and Anakin teamed up with some bounty hunters against the Weequay Pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who was harassing a village. It was Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven but in the Star Wars universe. Loved that episode!
Turn thine eyes upon the upcoming Boba Fett Movie then, Cat Man Dude. By all accounts it’s going to be as western as it can get in SPACE! and all that
