Posted this on Bethesda's forums and I'm proud of what I wrote. It doesn't beat a dead horse, it highlights the missteps of the prequels.

Anyway I'm not going to blast Lucas over his directing of the prequels, that horse has been beaten to a mushy pulp but I will say this. The failures of the prequels comes from having to much control and not enough counter criticisms to re-write and smooth out a few things. George was way to focused on Anakin that he even left out scenes that would have made Attack of the Clone feel more closer to the original trilogy (the Mon Mothma forming the Rebel Alliance scene, I'd post a link but those don't work anymore here for some reason), also Padme's and Anakin's romance could have been better written. Then there's Jar-Jar...moving on. The Star Wars formula IS there in the prequels but they're not lined up properly and the prequels come out as being badly written. As for the new series go. I like them...THERE I said it! I liked The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Last Jedi and Solo. I don't care what anyone says they're good Star Wars films though I will say TLJ made a couple of missteps (and no I'm not pointing my finger at Rei/Mary Sue) such as killing off Luke to quickly and allowing Leia to live (seeing as Carrie Fisher passed away). They could have recalled all the actors and done some quick re-shoots and still released the movie on time but now there's an elephant on the Falcon and episode 9 is going to have to rework things.

Yeah Khajiit thinks at this point there’s really nothing more to be said about the prequels. They served the purpose of telling basic backstory. This one will have to see Ep.9 before judging the current trilogy, but it ain’t lookin’ good.

Honestly I think episode 9 would benefit more if Ron Howard took over the directing and let Abrams either be the Producer or Co-Director. Although I liked The Force Awakens I had to watch it multiple times to really get it and with these films causing ire among fans its good to have someone soften the blow and that's the one thing about Ron Howard's directing I respect; I watched Solo one time and got it, loved it and want more of it! THAT is the mark of a great Director, you leave your customer satisfied and wanting more of your work.

One could argue that the problems with TLJ are because JJ didn’t direct it. His vision for Ep. 8 was (allegedly) completely eviscerated by Rian Johnson, which explains many of the fans’ complaints that it was disjointed with TFA.

I thought Abrams directed TFA?!

I'm guessing those fan where wanting Leia and Han to be Rei's parents...well that's why one should take theory's with a grain of salt. As for TLJ I liked it but I will agree it had some massive missteps to which it would have been better to delay launch and rework some scenes specially with Leia and Luke.

He did direct TFA. And that’s the problem: he didn’t direct TLJ so the films seemingly went in two different directions.

But still, Star Wars films have never ever been shining examples of cinematic excellence, so, *shrugs*

I posted this on the Bethesda forums about my opinion on why I think Akavir might be the next game:
I think a couple of reasons I'm thinking TES VI (Note I'm not saying I'm 100% sure but I'm not going to take it off the table either...its in the maybe pile) might...MIGHT be in Akavir is:
1: Akavir has the letters VI in the name which is the number six in Roman Numerals. Looking back at Oblivion it had the number four in it.

2: I looked up the province of Akavir and took note of it: Akavir (Aldmeris/Ehlnofex and Tsaesci: "Dragon Land"[1]) or Dovahnor (Dovahzul: DOVAhNOR Dovah-Nor, "Dragon-Land") is a continent lying to the east of Tamriel, separated by the Padomaic Ocean. It is the homeland of four seemingly unrelated races collectively referred to as the "Akaviri." These races are composed of the Snow Demons of Kamal, the serpent-men of Tsaesci, the Monkey People of Tang Mo, and the Tiger Dragons of Ka'Po'Tun.[1] Some sources talk of other races, which have not been seen since and may be extinct".

3: Akavir is known as Dragon Land so coming off of Skyrim plus with the plot of the Thalmor/Dominion invading Akavir would be quite possible.

Again I'm not saying Akavir is the next game or will be but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I'll wait and see.

Someone over at Beth.net forums posted a link to Pete Hines supposedly confirming TES6 will not be in Akavir. Khajiit didn’t read it but this one will try to find it and post it here.

*edit* and of course the video doesn’t work so nevermind.

Ok found it and Pete definitely says it’s set in Tamriel.

Vid also has some good info on 76 too. Pete starts talking around the 2.00.00 mark

Hmmm...could be a smoke screen BUT if set in Tamriel it could be in Hammerfell (though we've been there in Daggerfall and TES: Redguard. I'd say Summerset Isles but that would only be redundant since we have the TESO version, Elsweyr's a maybe but that region can be explored fully in Online as well as Valenwood. I doubt its going to be Black Marsh. Also I'm taking High Rock off the table! We've been there in Daggerfall so there's no reason to go back there again, it'd be a waste of a franchise to backtrack now.

So in retrospective TES VI can either be in Hammerfell or possibly in Akavir. Those are my only guesses.

Who knows? Khajiit supposes Pete could have been more vague in his answer and said the game takes place on Nirn. Well that wouldn’t narrow it down at all!
