QUOTE(mALX @ Jun 28 2018, 03:45 PM) QUOTE(Sakiri @ Jun 28 2018, 09:08 AM) Yeah it's pretty funny. And it was only 4 hours.
I'll rerecord it later.
Now if only my SKSE was working right.
I just know if my PC had a mic, I have no doubt at all that I would have forgotten to mute it and had a similar recording issue, Haha! Yeah...blunders...

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jun 28 2018, 03:33 PM) Wow, there were a lot of trains in the construction depot. I was wondering if we would see a head-on collision! Heh! Yeah. That's the scene I "filmed" over and over and over until I got decently heavy rail traffic for both arrivals and departure. I don't believe TpF allows actual train crashes but might be wrong. I tend to install signals as if it did, having learned what I know of signal placement in Mashinky, where lack of adequate signals or a an unwise pathing decision could indeed result to catastrophe. (Compared to what I see in other players' YouTube video I probably over signal. If so it does no obvious harm other than sometimes look unsightly. QUOTE(Sakiri @ Jun 29 2018, 02:58 PM) Started rerecording.
Got the black screen video bug.
God I hate OBS sometimes. I used to use Afterburner but my videos always came out too dark. Since I like darker dungeons, this made them pitch black, even with a torch, in the vid.
Anyone got suggestions for recording software that's light on resources and isn't watermarked?
I don't think I can use ShadowPlay either. I'd have to look if my card's supported.
Can't offer advice on this topic as I use OBS and before that proprietary software that came with a capture card. Thought about trying ShadowPlay at one point but decided against for reasons I no longer recall. (I believe it had to do with something Nvidia included with its software I considered rather "shady.") OBS works like a charm for me, but I've not tried it with a Bethesda title. Hmm...I ought to do that sometime soon. Not today. I'm worn out from hours spent slaving away adding scenic detail along several TpF train routes. This post has been edited by Decrepit: Jun 30 2018, 04:06 AM

There's a bug or something where it only records black video and I can't remember how I fixed it last time. Before muting the Mic it recorded just fine. Only lost 45 minutes that time. I've never used ShadowPlay because my last card didn't support it. This one apparently does. I'll give it a try later.

Dang it. I SHOULD have mowed yesterday evening. But it was darn hot, and we had the Excessive Heat Warning. It's a few degrees cooler today, but the Warning remains in affect. Despite that I'm gonna attempt to mow as the sun sets. No sense postponing. Looks as if the Heat Warning simply isn't going away any time soon, and the yawn ain't growing any shorter. There's a chance for stray t-storms about 1700. That'll put a halt to it. Otherwise, mow I will. Assuming I don't forget. Or chicken out. No other project not Transport Fever related. Greatly increased the size of one Goods Delivery Train, which is working out nicely. Created a new Freight Truck small town delivery service with eight trucks assigned it. It totally bombed. Gonna need to disband that and see if I can figure out some other way to supply those stops. Of course I did some scenic detailing. Oh yeah, I prepared a monthly city utility payment for hand delivery early next week/month. Such an exciting life.

After reinstalling my entire load order(again) I'm ready to start recording my new series of dungeon crawls. Will start on it sometime tomorrow. Little late now. Almost 10pm. >.>

QUOTE(Sakiri @ Jul 1 2018, 03:05 PM) First several videos up on my channel, the playlist is Annika's Travels. Mostly dungeon crawls so far, but the Mirmulnir fight is up too.
I need to up the difficulty; my follower rekt that Dragon in about 10 seconds.
Watched only the first thus far, Silent Moons Camp. Nicely sharp...wish my TpF vids were this sharp. Sufficiently dark "dungeon" interiors too. Found it sort of an odd coincidence that I was defaulted to 720p. YT does that when I view my own videos there. Have no fear, I bumped it up to 1080p first thing. BTW, I like that kills weren't overly drawn out in the vid I watched. Hit someone not overly well armored in the head with a mace...that ought to be the end of it. QUOTE(Sakiri @ Jul 2 2018, 05:07 AM) I'm running adept difficulty, mostly because I don't like damage sponges. I might up it if it gets *too* easy, but with my current modded follower, I might have to anyway. He hits like a truck and whines if I take his sword.
I also have a bunch of others I need to upload but my upload speed sucks. Takes an hour for a 5 minute video. I'll batch them up tonight, think I got four or five.
Planned on recording all her dungeon crawls and splitting up the bigger ones.
Edit, always defaults to 720p for me too, no idea why. It's in 1080p...
I've now watched all four (?) new installments. Needed to return to the first as I initially forgot to give it a "like." An hour to upload a 5min video? Man do I wish I had so fast an upload speed. My two circa 15min TpF episodes took over 8hrs each if memory serves. Which reminds me I began adding text to what will be my fifth TpF episode yesterday afternoon. Adding text is normally a fairly quick and painless process, but I floundered yesterday. Only managed to set three in place, and am not yet happy with the third. Still, I've a few days before it uploads, assuming I to stick to my once-a-week schedule.

QUOTE(Sakiri @ Jul 2 2018, 08:21 AM) What kind of connection do you have?
Back in the States I had a cable connection with something like 12 mbps up and a 5 minute video would take less than that to upload. T.T
12mbps upload? Wow, that's near twice as fast as my download speed, which is around 6.73mbps. My download speed, when I tested it just now, read 0.728mbps on the best of three test runs. I'm lucky to get as good an upload speed as i have, pathetic as it is. When ATT forced me to switch from DSL to U-verse about a year ago the phone rep promised speeds around three times faster than what I had at the time, which was 3mbps download and a super slow upload speed I've now forgotten. Once the switch was made I was surprised and infuriated to find my speeds had be halved, not increased. Called ATT to complain and was then told I had the fastest U-verse speed available in my area. Raised a stink until they sent out a technician who easily raised upload speed to what it is now. He said I could possible go as high as 12mbps, but any higher than what he set it to would put me in a higher price bracket. Sadly, I hadn't done any uploading of consequence in years at that time so didn't think to ask about increasing that speed. (One of my next-door neighbor didn't know to fight 'em and ended up losing a good bit of the speed he had before switching.) This post has been edited by Decrepit: Jul 2 2018, 10:05 PM

QUOTE(Decrepit @ Jul 2 2018, 08:18 PM) Was sitting at the computer desk this morning around 0825. Suddenly remembered it was time to take today's heart medicines. Made a stop en route to relieve myself. Washing hands at the bathroom sink afterward I was surprised to see how stubbly my face was. Monday is the one day of the week I should be clean shaven discounting areas covered by well trimmed beard and mustache. Then it hit me. I normally shave for my weekly errand run. I had totally forgotten the errand run! And here it was nearly 0830, a good 30min to an hour past when I hoped to begin the run to avoid today's Excessive Heat Warning. And I desperately needed to shave and shower before heading out, not having done so since before Saturday's lawn mow.
Rushed through a quick shave/shower. Dressed. Drove to Walmart, realizing I'd forgot to take heart meds about half way there. Miracle of miracle, I DID remember to drop off this month's utility payment at city hall. They wanted me to fill out a survey while there. Declined due to being pressed for time. The rest of the morning was uneventful. Was home in time to avoid the warning. Finished putting exactly when I normally begin preparing lunch. (Downed those heart meds soon as I arrived home.)
Only thing of note this afternoon is finishing text for my upcoming TpF YT episode. It's a little dead past the halfway point, but enough's in place to post as is should I think of nothing more to add.
Oops....I forgot to check mail. Gonna end this and do so.
Sounds like a frustrating day - and that memory lapsing could be dehydration, so make sure you drink plenty of water with this excessive heat and running!

Such days are far from unusual for me anymore, for good or ill. Looks like the party's over YT wise. Ep1 of my Transport Fever series drew over 200 views within just a few weeks! That's unheard of for a video of mine. Only the first episode of my old Oblivion uploads has more views, and it's been up well over four years. TpF ep2 didn't do nearly as well, but still earned what I concern a decent view count for a nobody who doesn't even voice his TpF episodes. Ep3 did better than Ep2. A promising sign, especially as its been up not much over a week. Ep4? Not so much. Disappointing in that I think it the best of the four posted episodes, certainly of the three train rides. (The other is of course a truck ride.) I don't monetize so have no financial stake in viewership. But I suppose every person who uploads to YouTube wants his or her work seen by as many as possible, and derives pleasure to the extent that comes to pass. I'm certainly no exception. Sort of a nothing day, as so are nowadays. Got in a fine exercise-walk a little after 0600, with a burst of extra speed at the end. That's pretty much the extent of it. Moped around ever since, accomplishing little of nothing. Yikes, only now remember I haven't yet done my dumbbell exercises, which I normally do right after lunch. Gonna sign off and take care of that.
