Sorry to hear that Kane might not make it or be way delayed. Let me float an adventure idea that is simple and factors in some of the ideas being bantered around: Glenumbra. If we go to the Aldcroft wayshrine and ride north a short distance is a dolmen within sight of a world boss (WB) called Wolf's Camp. I bet I'm not the only one hunting for jewelry to grind up and advance their jewelry crafting skill - and a dolmen drops a ring or necklace every time. Then in between dolmen spawns, there is the world boss which is a trio of bandits that turn into werewolves. Close dolmen, kill world boss, wait for dolmen to respawn, wash rinse, repeat a few cycles. Plenty of loot, jewelry, fightin' as well as time to just chat some. This plan also lends itself to folks joining us late, leaving early etc. If someone has a better plan and is willing to lead us, I'd be quite happy to tag along for something else though.

Yeah Khajiit was a big fan of that dolmen/werewolf trio combo during the Witch’s Festival. Also, Khajiit has been putting some jewelry stuff in the GB for any who would use them. @mALX NICE!! Transmute station!

One of the other guilds I'm in gave it to me as payment for decorating their new guild hall for them = that ugly purple slab in Coldharbour, lol. I did their last two guild halls and the guildmaster's private homes, for them too. I REALLY didn't want to do that Coldharbour one at all though; so they sweetened the pot by offering me the Transmute station as a bribe, lol. It worked. But yeah, it is the equivalent of 5 jewelry crafting stations! Really nice payment for the job! Haute will be able to see it, she is a member of that guild too.

Oh that barren player home in Coldharbour that doesn’t have anything resembling a home in it? Yeah Khajiit wouldn’t even know where to start with that.

It wasn't inspiring at all, and the Guildmaster did NOT want to see ugly black spikes either. I hid what I could of them, but still, that purple starkness up there...if I could have painted the sky blue, it would have been a lot easier to be inspired by it, lol.

I think some of the white columns and stuff would’ve been neat up there. Maybe some stone Imperial decorum. Khajiit would be interested in seeing some of what you did if you care to take some screenies next time you are up there. This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jul 6 2018, 03:32 PM

Silly question, but why did they want the place if its only features needed to be hidden? I'd have thought that once you've hidden all the black spikes, it could be anywhere. Was it just the large blank floor they wanted?

Silly question, but why did they want the place if its only features needed to be hidden? I'd have thought that once you've hidden all the black spikes, it could be anywhere. Was it just the large blank floor they wanted? Exactly. This guild had the Daggerfall mansion first, it was too small for all the tables (like the struggle we are having with Hunding House now). So (after a ton of decorating that place) = they ended up moving to Topal Bay. I decorated it like our Khajiit Village on the waterfront at Hunding House, with a Tiki bar and a huge dueling arena. But they were one of the guilds who had trouble with the tables not rendering properly; they had lots of complaints. I thought it was because at Topal Bay = every single item renders in the same cell, and the place where you land in that cell is right in the middle of everything so your PC or game takes a hit trying to render it all. Another Guild I'm in was having the same problems, and moved their Guild Hall to Hakkvild's High Hall thinking the tables would have time to render with the long walk through the cell before reaching them; but had the same issue there; because everything was outside = that is a LOT of items to render on landing in the cell. So THAT guild bought the Coldharbour slab and built a platform off the ground to put the tables on = same thing happened. But they discovered when they put the tables flat on the ground that everything rendered just fine. That cell is 700 slots, and it really has nothing else to render but what you put in it; no buildings or anything - but for some reason = having the tables off the ground made them not render properly. So all the guilds got together to discuss the problem a few weeks ago; that is when I asked you all if you ever had trouble with the tables not working properly. *We actually did have issues when I had that Vvardenfell scale model outside, it didn't used to render for almost a full minute when it sat at the landing spot for people to enter the cell. But for some reason, even that scale model renders just fine in that interior; and all those tables, too. So = so far we are safe with our Guild Hall, but (now that we are adding all those jewelry stations) - if anyone starts having trouble activating tables = let me know, please. I think the reason we haven't had a problem is because the majority of our tables are in an interior cell that must render separately from the exterior cell; and what we have outside isn't enough to overwhelm the rendering of the cell. Anyway, the other guilds decided to all buy that Coldharbour slab for their guild halls because it had that huge flat surface to hold the 190 (176 tables, 13 Mundus stones, and the Transmute Station). But no one in the guilds liked the look of the place after the beauty of Topal Bay, so they asked me to come make it look less like Molag Bal's realm. I didn't want to at all, so they bribed me with that Transmute station, Anyway, here is some shots of the place for Khajiit: https://imgur.com/eiGxvbGhttps://imgur.com/GmOl0vkhttps://imgur.com/KE3aTJChttps://imgur.com/8nZjbGuhttps://imgur.com/5vpaChhhttps://imgur.com/RBqmMB1This post has been edited by mALX: Jul 6 2018, 05:07 PM

QUOTE(mALX @ Jul 6 2018, 12:48 PM) It wasn't easy to get inspired for decorating anything but a Daedric Halloween Haunt there, lol. Yeah, it is less depressing - but I wish there was a way to remove the purple filter or shader for the sky in that cell like the Devs did for Hollow City. I wonder since it is instanced if that would be on our hard drive?
I believe all the textures etc. are on our own machines, but the game will validate checksums to ensure the content isn't changed. They don't want anyone, for example, making items bright pink to make them easier to find. You could get your account banned for changing stuff, as they'll assume cheating, so don't try. That may or may not include DirectX post-processing/hooking. which is how some texture-replacing mods work for other games. ENBSeries (I think) did that for Skyrim to add extra shaders. Aww, sorry you missed it, Khajiit. The summary is we got Buffy, Jo'zira, Unna, Jerric and Britta together at the guild hall and marveled at the beautiful new transmute station down by the beach. Then we headed for a dolmen in Glenumbra that was conveniently next to a world boss. We then proceeded to cycle between the two for I guess about 6 or 7 cycles collecting tons of loot and quite a load of jewelry. It was great fun and, I expect helped those (like Buffy) who are building up their jewelry crafting skill by providing lots to deconstruct. Thanks to those who made it and we missed those who could not.
