QUOTE(mALX @ Sep 24 2018, 01:22 PM) The only thing that would cost ZOS doing it this way is the Dev's pay for changing/creating all the new scripts for the new system; possibly a new table itself; and then listening to all the people gripe who have spent millions buying the warehouse of tables that are now stuck on their hands (unless they give us a way to add those already bought to our drop-down list).
That griping would be another factor, true. I was thinking the new tables with the drop-down lists would just live alongside the old ones, but people would complain if they couldn't convert. Still, if they play it right, they could sell the conversion as an option. Keep the old = no cost, convert to new = buy token. However, could ZOS resist the opportunity to say "convert (at a price) or the old ones will stop working on xx/xx/xx"? That would really annoy their existing customers, especially the ones who came back after the ultimatum expired.

That would really annoy their existing customers, especially the ones who came back after the ultimatum expired. I don't think they will take that option (one table per each discipline with drop down lists for sets) because it requires them putting money into fixing something that already exists in game. I think the only way they will fix it is if it doesn't cost them anything (like in your example of just making the tables not counted on inventory slots). That way it would only really impact them/the game on houses being used as guild halls that have the full 44 sets (X 4 tables each set). And there really aren't that many guilds that have gone all out with the tables; it is a HUGE commitment and expense to amass that many tables. Several of the guilds I've visited have only one set of plain vanilla tables. So they MAY be willing to go that route because it won't cost them nearly as much. They already have that system set up for the collectibles; they just need to copy/paste it to the tables and keep its limits raised with each crafted set they add. QUOTE(Grits @ Sep 24 2018, 03:01 PM) There will be such celebrations when we finally get Guild Hall functionality. I've seen dueling arenas and massive auction/sale areas in houses, but there aren't enough player slots to fill them. I would like multiple functions that could be chosen for a Guild Hall. An arena could have more player slots at the expense of collectibles, for example.
One of my old guilds on the PS4 had a pared-down crafting hall in the Gardner House. This was before jewelry crafting. Each floor had only one type of crafting station, all arranged alphabetically. She had to move everything when new stations came out, but with all of the same type in rows it wasn't too painful (she said). The housing add-on that lets you group furnishings would have been very helpful. Also since the crafting hall was crowded and looked utilitarian, she had a second account with the guild party house as primary. It should be easier.
I had been considering doing that as well, buying Hunding House on my son's account and setting it up like ours was before we started getting the crafted sets in (with just the plain vanilla tables in the courtyard like we used to have; Buffy's Tower; the stables = and inside the house a bar; and just a nice "hanging out" style interior. That way crafters or character builders could come to my residence and anyone who just wanted to hang could go to his. (the problem I ran into with actually DOING it was that his account doesn't have the Plus membership; meaning Hunding House would only have 300 slots; no banker or merchant, etc. = really not sure how much I'd actually be able to pull together there for our comfort). Another idea is that every month's meeting could be held at different member's houses and just keep Hunding House as a crafting Mecca for building and testing characters until the game gives us a better option. IF we are given (for free) that Psijic Villa, (I don't see me buying it otherwise) = I could move the tables/Mundus/etc there; which is much roomier and has 100 more slots over Hunding House = and maybe another member could host the meetings as our "hang out" guild hall? I'm hoping they give us that Psijic Villa set up as a guild hall; that would be the perfect answer! (especially if they listened to Ghastley and set it up so crafting tables didn't use inventory slots!) This post has been edited by mALX: Sep 24 2018, 09:23 PM

A guild hall in Summerset would be interesting. Since homes are instanced, it's strictly NOT in Summerset, so I believe anyone could still go there, but I'm not sure what would happen if they tried to go out the door. Probably just get dumped back where they came from, like you do from a preview.

Correct, that is exactly what happens. But yes, you can always visit homes no matter where they are because they are kind of in a realm by themselves once you get inside their cells.

QUOTE(haute ecole rider @ Oct 5 2018, 12:07 PM) Well, mine is working fine, and I’m actually still off from work while waiting for medical clearance from my doctor (had to take a MLA, and the paperwork is keeping me off an extra week!)
So I can make it to the guild meet later tonight, and actually mALX would like to use my Palace for a guild event . . .
I’m open to ideas - if you want to do public dungeons or World Bosses I can bring Phae and Thunderpaws.
Oh, that would be Awesome! Has everyone else seen her amazing palace? She did a spectacular job decorating it! And everyone who attended Haute's Saturalia party last year knows that she is THE most excellent host EVAH! I am hoping she throws another one this year; and look forward to seeing Khajiit puking on more of her rugs again,
