QUOTE(hazmick @ Oct 13 2018, 10:44 AM) Was doing a bit of the Murkmire prologue with Haa-Rei, but facing some pretty atrocious lag and decided to leave it for another day.
Meanwhile, I've kicked off the brand new adventures of Cirinwe the Warden (since Zenimax refuse to let us simply change class). The plan is to see how far we get by just doing Summerset stuff, then move onto base-game zones for levelling after that. Once new Ciri hits CP she can get all of old Ciri's gear so hopefully it won't take too long.
Yeah what’s up with no class change? They let us change race and superficial things via change tokens but why not class?

Just one of those weird decisions that's never made sense to me. Lots of people say that it's to prevent people switching to whichever class is doing the best in each patch but that's a ridiculous reason so I don't know. Still, at least most things are account-wide so it's not too bad to start again.

All that gold, and you don't even get tassets? Well worth it!

QUOTE(monkeyemoness @ Oct 14 2018, 07:47 PM) I could have bought a house with that (and I was planning on it) but i decided to get the costume first. It was 200k less than I thought it would be, and if I waited a bit longer it probably would have been less than 1 mil, but I've waited long enough :v Now I need the helmet I figure since he'll be active for Murkmire, I should go and get his costume already. Even if I'm not sure it'll be what he'll wear there.
Oh so what house were you thinking about getting?

Much of the weekend's play-time was spent moving Taminwe up towards CP. We got her from 34 to 40 mainly by catching up on the Main Quest (and getting a bit ahead). She's just rescued King Dynar and Vanus Galerion, and about to embark on a few more side-quest to get her level back in sync with the original numbers. Also, I need to get her finished before the Witches Festival event; that will take up a lot of time if I want to buy the cottage for gold.
Both Cat Man Dhou and Wizwen got their souls back a hair short of level 50, and had to do a couple of Silver quests to finish off. I'd like to have Taminwe a bit further along.

QUOTE(monkeyemoness @ Oct 14 2018, 06:41 PM) Yesssssssssssssssss I got it! It cost me 1.1 million gold. Nice! What Ghastley ... er, what I wanted to ask is; what does it look like on a female character? Does it show as much boob as it is on the male? (or do they put a top on the girls to cover them up?) Khajiit saw a pic and they do indeed put a top on the females. It’s a fairly small top though. Here is the UESP article on it. Has a good pic of it on a lass built similar to Khajiit’s Mira (although the one in the pic is a rather large Bosmer). This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Oct 15 2018, 03:49 PM

QUOTE(mALX @ Aug 21 2018, 04:44 PM) QUOTE(Renee @ Aug 21 2018, 03:51 PM) Hey, I have a question. What happens if you are in the middle of some battle like this one, and you make a save in the middle of it? I mean, CAN you make a save in the middle of a PvP battle like this one? What happens if you do? Will your character wind up in the very spot where the save was made (just ... there might not be any battle going on in that area)? Or are you "forced" to return to a different area of the game, where there are no other PCs? Uh... five questions. Not A question. You never have to save; the game automatically saves everything constantly on YOUR hard drive (so if your game crashes you can't lose more than a few seconds at most). Unfortunately, that also means there are no "do-overs" if you don't like the way you handled something in either PvP or PvE. You can close out your game anytime and will come back to wherever you were EXCEPT in PvP (because when you log out in PvP zones, your character is automatically shipped back to your regular server. (The PvP zones are all on different servers than the PvE zones). That way the PvP server isn't loaded down with characters that are logged off; it frees up room for others to come fight. (the PvP servers can hold X number of characters at each instance; so they can't be bogged down with logged off characters). You have a choice of servers you can go to in PvP zones, I usually chose the ones with the fewest members on them (and occasionally have logged out in my (safe zone) and when I logged back in my character was still there. There are some dungeons in Cyrodiil that you can log out in and find yourself still there in a less busy server; and places like Weynon Priory, etc. On a busy server you will always be kicked back to wherever you were when you traveled to Cyrodiil or the battlegrounds. Also: You can't log out while you are actually in combat; but you CAN log out while your Keep is being attacked as long as the enemy is not in personal combat with you. I never said thanks for this info, so thanks! Was wondering how ESO handles all this. The not-being-able-to-save thing is weird. This post has been edited by Renee: Oct 15 2018, 04:20 PM

Oh so what house were you thinking about getting? I was curious about that too, lol. I was planning on getting the Gardner house in Wayrest so I had a free fast travel point to the Master Writ turn in guy there. These days it's the only reason I'd get houses, tbh. I guess I technically still have gold for it, but I want to see if the Murkmire house is bought with gold.

Get the Flaming Nix Garrett in Mournhold for something like 12,000-13,000 = right outside the door is wayshrine/crafting/guild traders/merchants/writ turn in/and Master Writ vendor!!!

I never said thanks for this info, so thanks! Was wondering how ESO handles all this. The not-being-able-to-save thing is weird. That is because the game keeps going on while you are logged out. (unlike single player games that freeze time while you are away and you come back to the same moment you left yesterday, etc). In this game, while you are logged out; stuff is still happening around you. When you come back, things can be totally different; even in PvE. Example: I can log out alone in my house; and when I turn the game on next I will be in my house still; but there might be visitors in there now, (hanging out, etc). (I have most of my houses set up to allow members from here at Chorrol to come visit; most of us do so we can pop over and say hi, etc). If you want to see how the game goes on while you are gone from it: you can die in combat and while you are dead (if you decide not to resurrect right away) you can see the battle continuing around your body; see your body laying there. If you know you can't win the fight alone you can chose to resurrect at the nearest wayshrine; or if you want to complete it but need help = you can stay dead till someone else comes in and then resurrect to help them take the enemy down/get their help in you completing the fight. It is very cool to play with others; I really love it!

That's fine if you have a reasonable prospect of someone else coming along. My experience is that others only want to join you if you're winning. Wizwen did a lot of semi-solo dolmens, where she died repeatedly in the main wave, and only got help for the final boss (and the chest). Still we get one good run a month with the Chorrolites guild, even if the rest of the time is a bit random.

(especially on my son's game, where I'm trying to raise F'Ugly's CP points so the lower characters have some decent CP to build on, lol).
