So yesterday was the second day of the Witches' Festival, but it was our first.
After I got chores out of the way, Maz made Do Rah a new set of armor - trying out Julianos combined with Shacklebreaker, since we've noticed he is struggling with Magicka regeneration. He was already level 28, and has quite outgrown the old armor. I am focusing more on magicka with him (he's a Nightblade).
He's rocking the pirate swab outfit while he is slicing a path through Hew's Bane (he is a Dark Brotherhood graduate, after all).
Next on his agenda was the Witches Festival starter quest - he got to run around as a skeleton for a couple of hours. First he went back to Vvardenfell and the dungeon that is next door to Ald Velothi (yes, we bought that house). He somehow got two plunder skulls there, one for the delve boss and apparently we also killed a quest boss for the second time (he finished that zone a week or so ago). Then he met the Covetous Countess in Elden Root, and after that wandered up to the dolmen just northeast of the Great Tree. There he was fortunate enough to pick up another plunder skull with the help of a few passersby.
Then we whispered Bear and Gray, and joined them and their friend Bree on a romp through Rivenspire - a World Boss and another delve (both Dremora and plunder skulls aplenty), then Do Rah got to run through his first public dungeon at Banished Cells.
By then he was feeling pretty tired, and loaded down with loot, so he went back to the Palace to rest and count his gold. Maz joined Bear and Gray and Bree, and I was able to get a couple of folks from my housing guild, a couple of others from my main trading guild, and then my housing guildie got the last three from their trials guild, and we all went off to take on Cloudrest. It was Maz's (and my) first trial, and it was fun. Bree needed us to talk in caps, because like mALX, she has trouble reading chat, and I told the group that because of my deafness, voice chat was out for me. So one of the Trials guildies took the time to explain the strategy for each trial to all of us before we went in, and it was great. I really enjoyed myself, even though Maz died a couple of times.
I'm heading off now to start my second day of the Witches Festival! Have fun, all!

Spreads got a lot of skulls today. So many, she filled her inventory, and the bank, and had to buy more bank space, and sell off stuff to the merchant. She started with 17, and now has 50. On the other hand, half the Hollowjack pages we got were duplicates. It got her several levels in the process, what with the 100% bonus for the festival. Taminwe also took advantage of that to get up to level 46 (and get her soul back). Now I have to decide between Spreads doing all the parts of the pre-requisite quest for the house, or getting Tami to champ. First, I mean. I'm not going to get away without doing both. Spreads got another seven skulls, and then I switched over to Taminwe, and scrounged up a scroll or two to boost her XP gain a bit further. We finally got her to level 50, and now she daren't go anywhere until we upgrade her gear. Laurie has made her five pieces of Hunding's - Heavy cuirass and four medium others. She still has unused Undaunted key and invitation, so that's two chances of a better shoulder, and then we need to scrounge up jewelry and weapons. The stuff she has is so low-level, she might as well not use it. And of course, all the pieces in the bank are low-level bits we're keeping for research.
And Spreads found her third copy of Hollowjack Shields. It's the popular one in the guild bank, so I imagine everyone else is finding it, too. She has half the chapters, from half the skulls, so there's some chance she'll get them all.

QUOTE(hazmick @ Oct 21 2018, 08:12 PM) Cirinwe (the new one) hit level 38 today, and finished up in Auridon. So far she's levelled just by doing that and Summerset (with xp scrolls and witches brew) so she's making good progress.
Tomorrow we'll decide where to go next for levelling - I'm thinking Wrothgar or Vvardenfell, but we'll see.

Did you forget to make a sacrifice to the RNG gods? Khajiit has a bunch in his personal bank so this one will deposit them in the Guild Bank for you to peruse at your leisure. This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Oct 22 2018, 03:00 AM

Likely not. I've been through all the alliance zones at least 4 times, and don't fancy making it a fifth for most of them, at least not yet. I think I've only done Wrothgar twice, and Vvardenfell once, so they shouldn't be too bad.

QUOTE(Grits @ Oct 22 2018, 11:20 AM) Yep, I'm about to begin my attempts to log on. mALX, give me a shout if you want some company looking for the new set locations! That would be Awesome! Thank you so much!!! QUOTE(hazmick @ Oct 22 2018, 11:26 AM) I totally forgot as well, though not sure if I'll jump in straight away since day 1 content is busy as all hell and makes me lag like nothing else. Might just wander around the new zone and wait to do quests until things are quieter.
If you want to wander with Grits and I looking for the crafting sets, you are welcome to!

QUOTE(monkeyemoness @ Oct 22 2018, 03:45 PM) Hmmm, I wasn't planning on jumping into Murkmire but ZOS having to do maintenance right now is, uh, cómo se dice, annoying as [poop].
Yeah, what happened? I was playing along just fine all day and suddenly got the notice that they were bringing it down in 15 minutes! I know poor Grits was having some hella lag earlier; though. At any rate: got all the crafted sets; got 4 skyshards; got the Murkmire Pathfinder achievement; and got almost all the Lorebooks. (some are quest locked). Also, found two weird glowy items and happened across a place that said to "Put them here," (which I did) = so I'll most def be doing that quest if I ever find out what it is, lol. On Saturday I sold myself for one hour of "Skeleton Farming" (I drink Witches Brew, turn into a skeleton; then hit dolmen/delves/dungeons/etc. for Plunder Skulls and Dremora Skulls, etc. (The person who paid for me gets everything I pick up from start to finish of the hour. I was only fifteen minutes in when they said they were taking the servers down in fifteen minutes; so I'll probably restart the full hour when we can get back on. Most def will NOT be doing that in Murkmire, lol. But so far they already got a Dremora Boot motif; a HollowJack motif; several pieces of that "Bobbing For Apples" emote runebox; a bunch of scrap equipment to decon; and the rest was all gold/ingredients/materials/and provisioning stuff. (meanwhile, my character is hopefully getting her 100 skeletons achievement. Then all she'll need is the Arena and the Trial!).
