QUOTE If [Bonsly's] body gets too damp, it will die. So, in a process reminiscent of sweating, its eyes expel moisture. And there we have it. Guess my initial impression is wrong after all. :v (I think I'm finally ready to do the first trial...after I catch more pokemon along the way)

Chicken nuggets in the Pokemon world are probably made from Torchic. Spicy. (I just played through the Battle Buffet and the food sounds tasty.) Anyways, as much as I love how they added trainer customization starting with X and Y, I'm not pleased that you're stuck with cool colors if you have Moon/Ultra Moon unless you dye them with shops you get based on RNG and collect a ton of berries to create certain colors. The ONE time I actually want warm colors, they're denied from me. Also I absolutely cannot afford the fancier clothing right now but I guess I can buy a pair of nice shoes in the meantime lol, but I probably won't Melemele trials done, time to catch all the remaining pokemon i can before moving onto Akala Island.

QUOTE(monkeyemoness @ Nov 1 2018, 05:10 PM) The game's meant for people who have completed Undertale, so I guess you can call it a sequel? No spoilers, but it's...difficult to say.
So having finished this chapter and looked up Toby's comments on it, I can now confirm that the game is set in an alternate universe; the same characters but a completely different story. Unfortunately, it seems the actual game will be on hold for the moment, since he notes that this demo took him several years to make on his own (where Undertale took him only a few months, with Temmie Chang helping with art), so he's trying to get a team together to actually make it. Guess I'll wait till then, 'cause I liked this chapter a lot. :V (Also he's apparently been working on the story since before Undertale was even released, based on some of the documents he showed off. Holy hell) Back to Pokemon Ultra Moon I guess. This post has been edited by monkeyemoness: Nov 2 2018, 05:56 AM

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 7 2018, 02:42 PM) I trust you haven't laid your mits on Star Wars: Rebellion, Decrepit? That's a game I used to have trouble coming back to after a great while as I forgot my strategies. Now however it's never a problem as I've learned the game all too well.
It's RTS, btw.
No, no SW:R for me. Speaking of long ago games I'd have problem relearning, I suspect EQ and EQ2 would fit that category. I used to run those with rows and rows of hotkey Icon Banks and never had a lick of trouble manipulating them as needed, all the while typing text in the chat window. (No in-game voice chat in those days, not for me at any rate. Admittedly, it had started to catch on big time by the time I left.) I seriously doubt I could come anywhere close to mastering such complicated UI's nowadays. As to KCD, I spent the evening watching Henry collect just about every harvestable plant in his home town. By session's end he was a level 11 herbalist, which allowed him to take the level 10 perk that gives him modest Strength level increases as he collects plants. My hope is that he will get at least one Speech level up while selling those plants. Thursday early morning addendum: Played a quick KCD session soon as I crawled out of bed. Henry sold a number of harvested plants. Made a tidy sum (by earn game standards) and earned a SPEECH increase. Also gave him the STRENGTH perk Mule I (extra carry capacity), which I somehow overlooked yesterday. This post has been edited by Decrepit: Nov 8 2018, 11:34 AM

QUOTE(Sakiri @ Nov 8 2018, 07:24 AM) I played EQ2 off and on for 6 or 7 years.
Met my husband there in 2005.
Fun game but all my friends quit in 2010.
<nods> Was hooked on MMO's some twelve years. Played little else during that time. Abandoned the genre after acquiring TES:Oblivion in 2009. Never looked back. One prime factor that caused me to gradually lose interest in them... I never cared for raiding. Small groups, yes. Raids, no. Back then, raiding was THE big emphasis of most player, at least those I associated with.

KCD wise, Henry found several pockets of heretofore undiscovered harvestable plants that extended his stay in Skalitz into this afternoon. He got a few level ups and a Perk in the process and made decent cash selling harvests. Finally reached to end of the line. Nothing else to do there other than report back to his father and set the final Skalitz phase in motion. Decided to hold off doing so until either after supper or tomorrow morning, when I'll have time to relearn horse riding during the "escape." I expect it to take a number of attempts, as it did first time round.
Thursday Evening Addendum: Dang it, dang it, dang it. I knew I'd be rusty at horse controls. But nothing like this. I swear I was able to get it to work last time by using arrow keys for left and right turns. But those don't respond now. Leastwise they don't seem to. Poor Henry dies before the ride gets underway as I flounder trying to turn the horse in the right direction. Maybe I'm forgetting something??????
Thursday Evening Addendum 2: Henry attempted that bloody horse ride more times than I care to think about, without success. I knew I had to be forgetting something, but what? Finally, at about the end of my patience, I got to wondering if, besides using left & right arrow keys instead of A & D for movement, I might also need to use UP ARROW rather than W. Voila! Everything locked in place. Henry succeeded on my first UP ARROW attempt. Not the most polished of rides to be sure, but he reached safety. Question is, will I remember next time Henry needs to ride a horse? An iffy proposition at best.
Experienced a graphic glitch not encountered first time round. In a scene where Henry is talking with someone while sitting on a bed, he instead appeared to be sitting in mid air to the side of said bed. First glitch of any sort I've noticed since starting afresh.
One tiny nit pick complaint. At launch the game defaults Henry to Run mode rather than Walk. Those who know me know my view that characters should always walk unless there is a compelling immersionistic reason to do otherwise. No biggie as it's easy enough to switch him to Walk first thing. Just wish I didn't need to.
