Rats. Went to the kitchen for a glass of water. Nope. Nothing comes out of the faucet. Called city call. AT&T cut into our water lines while installing fiber cabling. No estimated repair time/date. Gonna be a rough supper with nothing to drink along with my salad. I do have milk on hand, but don't like it with salad. Likely a rough breakfast too, since I've no water for my oatmeal. Also, need to boil another batch of eggs, which won't happen now. Poor decrepit, so understood.

That it is. At it turns out we did without a relatively short time. After a liquidless supper I brushed my teeth, then prepared to gargle with mouthwash sans two required water pre-gargles. As I unscrewed the gargle bottle cap I heard a soft gurgling sound. (From the commode?????) On a hunch I turned on the bathroom sink faucet. Got a blast of dirty water, followed by a more or less steady flow of hopefully clean water. (It looks and smells okay.)

In case water was not restored, I had set two glasses of ice-cubes on the kitchen counter with the idea enough would thaw to make oatmeal tomorrow morning. Those are back in the freezer now.

I was going to suggest killing someone and drinking their blood as an alternative to water. But apparently that is no longer necessary. Still, something to keep in mind for the future...

I'd love to sometimes. Like, when I was living in California the reason my internet connection was such crap was because the local university was eating all the local bandwidth.

Off campus housing, ofc. It's why I hate streaming services. Having my internet connection slowed to a crawl every day at a certain time by the entire complex streaming Netflix at once was annoying as balls.

Had to make another payment on the gun to extend the layaway to the end of the month. Next gun purchase will be a KelTec 9MM rifle with drum magazine IF they still have the drum magazine .
