No real point to buying it if you won't shoot it. Stuff does degrade a bit.

And I've heard varying reports of shooting decades old ammo. If it's been kept well, it fires np. One thing off kilter and it might misfire. Never fun. I liked to rotate my ammo stash. Shoot the old stuff first. -------------------- And in the fury of this darkest hour

Yeah, that could happen, In fact, it did happen to me today when I was trying to watch a video. The footage was normal but it was no sound despite the fact my speakers were on. It came back though when I moved the slider backwards to restart the video.
