She's also fretting over battery maintenance. And filling. Who the fork fills lead acid batteries anymore?

I promise, batteries are not a big deal. I had one of those acid ones in my latest bike and I maybe looked at it once a year

Lead-acid went to gel or absorbed-mat electrolytes for safety reasons a long time ago. The liquid stuff's nasty if it spills, so they won't let you.

Actually, all the bikes I've looked at have lead acid batteries, and they're the fill yourself type.

Maintenance free supposedly, you take the thingy of acid and shove it down onto the battery and let it empty into it, then put the cap strip on it and charge.

I might look into getting a gel battery, just because I don't like the idea of lead acid batteries.

This however, is a very common motorcycle/ATV battery here.

Probably because we don't have that pesky sue-everyone-for-everything-all-the-time-because-you-can't-be-careful thing over here


But yeah, gel is better but I reckon Mikael can take care of the acid for you
