They ARE my spare set!


I use them for the Millennium in the cottage during summer and for the XP at home during winter.

Then a spare spare set and not have to move them!

That thought actually crossed my mind...

USB speakers are really cheap. If the machine in question has USB. I forget when they started getting mainstream.

Both the Millennium and XP has USB. Heck, even the Windows 95 machine I got has them!

I know theyre supported but i dont remember when it became mainstream for stuff outside peripherals. My 98 machine had one for the keyboard and mouse but that was it.

My headset is powered by USB now. I have volume control and the ability to balance between voice chat and game sound. It's pretty handy.

I dont use speakers.

So here I am, panicking. Husband just left for the hospital via ambulance.

His kidney nurse suspects ulcer, and if you know ulcers, you know what I just had to clean up and deal with.

Not pleasant. And I'm worried sick.

Yeah, me too. But I'm sure he'll be ok. They took him to a good hospital.

Had to go get my eye appointment done. Many tests. I need two pairs. I knew it would come to this eventually. One for every day stuff and far vision, and a pair for reading and computer usage.

Now to remember to switch them. Pickup will be in 3 weeks tops he said. So despite the crap beginning it was productive as well.

He just messaged me, they think it's a bleeding ulcer. Nothing overly serious yet. They're apparently common in kidney patients.

Yeah. Sounded like nothing too serious medically speaking though, although it did sound serious enough to me. What does he say?

He says camera in the stomach tomorrow. I'm hoping it's just an ulcer.

Worst case, cancer. Which is why I think his parents are worried. His sister has cancer.

Oh. Getting the tube down his throat took two nurses fighting with him.
