I use Steam as I use Swish: not at all.

Lol. I don't use Swish either. Just seems like a bad idea. I've not seen anything similar in the US either.

We have Swish, Blipp, cards, online transfers. Basically everything except cash.

I have Steam by my PC isn't quite built for gaming on. It'll play some but not all games.

I enjoy ESO a lot. First MMO for me and that is a drawback that I have come to consider a minor one. It is very much an Elder Scrolls game and the devs know a big part of their customer base is there for TES, not MMO. As such, it is quite solo friendly. The game is beautiful, open world and probably 100 times the size of Skyrim or Oblivion. Specs to run the game are not bad with the primary consideration being that the install takes up a lot of hard drive space. You can buy and run ESO directly from Zenimax and avoid the potential problems of another link in the chain (Steam).

Although I am on (another) long hiatus from ESO, I do think you would quite like it. As Acadian says, it is very friendly to those of us who prefer solo gaming. That said, having our Chorrol guild available for boss runs and shard collecting trips provides the "right" (for me) amount of multiplayer. Naturally, the great advantage is getting to play with friends of long standing, who are truly outstanding about helping us occasional players.

And the scale, the graphics, the intricacy of character development, the crafting... all of those are quite magnificent. If you take the plunge, please let us know. We will look for you

Indeed, having the Chorrolites to help is an awesome incentive to get into ESO. Unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow me to go to Guild meetings anymore, but I had lots of fun when I was able to go!

My only problem with ESO is that I'm unemployed, and a content sponge.

When I quit playing shortly after Morrowind launched, I'd burned through all the quests. All the dungeons. All the trials. Everything but repeatable stuff, and the repeatable writs and such just aren't enough to keep me in.

I had full legendary crafted gear that was better than anything that'd drop too. Had my monster set. It was amusing. I just can't justify dropping 60 bucks on a chapter I'll burn through in a matter of weeks, and I can't afford all the DLCs all the time. I won't pay a second sub, I'm already paying for world of warcraft.

It's a great game, just... doesn't work for me for long.

Oh, and I played EU, so I wouldn't have been with you guys. :/

Your account for ESO lets you play on both servers for no extra charge, but your "account-wide" goodies don't carry over. So mounts, pets, homes etc. have to be acquired twice, (or you have to pick where to get them). There's really no reason not to use both.

Altoholics like Grits love the number of characters that lets you have. (And they aren't ALL called Jerric, really!)
