And we cant open the windows during the winter. Heck, we can't really open them at all, though he insists on it. They're swollen wood, warped wood, and really, REALLY hard to close. Like, "you gotta slam it" hard to close.

And I want to replace them, so I'm kinda hoping he breaks one when trying to close it. Honestly. It's how stuff gets done around here because hes always like "I don't know..."

We actually spoke about getting a loan and getting some simple work done on the house(because we're limited in up front monies) but we don't know how we'd go about it yet. And what all needs done besides the windows.

No, it's a magic overhaul.

That makes sense as Odin is well-known to use magic

Most of the vanilla spells are getting rebalanced a bit(scaling, for one, so they're not such garbage... a big flaw in the magic in Skyrim) and there's a few new ones getting added.

Skyrim's magic is something crying for improvement. You usually need a perk overhaul or new spells, or the creation club to make them worth using on higher difficulties. It's basically "oh hey stagger lock so they can't do anything while you whittle away HP" because the damage is severely lacking. I expected mobs to get chunked by spells, but instead they get tickled.

Hopefully this helps. It's not meant to be a complete solution I'd imagine, but I'm looking forward to it.

Well, I actually think there might be a mod for it, but it's not in the base game.

To be fair, it was a little overpowered.

It does have limitations; the more powerful spell you make the more magicka it costs and it can ramp up quickly. I also think the weapons and base spells of Oblivion are ridiculously underpowered so I need that extra umpph spellmaking gives.

But at least in Skyrim you can reduce the spell costs with gear through enchanting. I don't remember if you can do that in Oblivion. I *do* remember some of the sigil stones being rather... overpowered too. Of course, aren't those limited? Like, you gotta save scum them to get the good ones every time, and the gates don't reopen?

Lothran only has the Kvatch gate stone but I think they can be pretty good. In our version of Cyrodiil the invasion never happened in the first place so no gates opening up ruining the landscape
